For the AFTER action, we’re able to use some function into ‘ss_after_cleanup’ action as suggested in your snippets and worked fine. Using this will ignore the action made by plugin, the native one? “delete_option( ‘simply-static-use-build’ );”
Should we include this option deletion in our custom function too?
But the main question is: Does exist any hook/filter to use custom function BEFORE simply static instance/generator is started?
We just need to update an option before the whole thing starts, and tried to hook in first “ss_static_pages”, but seems that we got couple errors.
Many thanks in advance, and feel free to ask anything.
I manage references in Zotero and export in BibTex (or Beter BibTex) and there’s generally good compatibility, though my (Mac) install of Zotero generates an empty first line that has to be deleted before being read by teachPress or else no items get created. Given that this issue was raised previously by @tfriedri (Can’t import bibtex), I’d like to echo the request for the plugin to ignore any initial blank lines before reading data.
Also, the manipulation of the display of publications is handled by PHP, which works fine in normal operation, but this causes issues when creating static snapshots (e.g, when using wget, it generates many additional pages). Ideally, I’d like to see (the option of using) JavaScript instead, as with bib-publication-list on GitHub. Is this possible?
Thank you.
]]>I’ve tried adding a couple of lightbox plugins to my WordPress install – when I run the site locally the lightbox works but when exporting via Simply Static it doesn’t work. There is no response when clicking on the photos.
This is just for images embedded within blog posts, can anyone recommend a plugin that works? Or is there configuration I can do that’ll allow the lightbox to work?
Many thanks in advance.
]]>Could this plugin still be used (or would bring any benefit) if WordPress was used as a backend content generator, pushing the frontend to a Frontity static site?
]]>1) Firstly – GREAT JOB. Love the plugin!
2) I added it to a client website and everything worked perfectly.
-> My Chrome Lighthouse score came out a perfect 100%
-> Lovely splash screen
-> message upon first visiting site to add to the HomeScreen
BUT
====
3) then, to speed up the site even more, i made it STATIC, by
4) using WP2STATIC plugin, which basically rendered a static version of the site and i am hosting it now on AWS using an AWS bucket + Cloudfront + Route 53.
5) Speeds improved
BUT
6) Lighthouse test no longer detects web app manifest.
Please advise!
Thanks

Thanks for your help in advance.
]]>1. If I click on the ‘read more’ link on the homepage posts, it shows only the text of the post on the new page, not the image / media.
2. In your demo of the theme (https://demos.bavotasan.com/arcade/) you have a static front page (which I like and want) and also a blog page where all posts go. I have not been able to make this happen if I choose the static option.. But would like it as it is in the demo (so posts on homepage and on the blog page automatically).
Any help would be appreciated!
