I’ve got over 800 quotes invested in Stray Random Quotes. I believe I saw that XV is derived from Stray Random Quotes? If I switch to XV, does it use the same files or does it know how to import what I previously had under Stray Random Quotes?

stray random quotes file permissions

Hi,

I am trying to use the stray random quotes plugin in a self made theme, but I run in to the fact it keeps giving me a warning page telling me ‘You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page’. I’ve been checking my file permissions and can’t see the problem there, it’s all 755. I remember reading this problem somewhere before, but I don’t recall any resolution. Can anybody help me? site is www.digitalemedia.info which is still very much under construction.

I just want to put out there to the community that:

Stray random quotes plugin and phpbb_recent_topics are in conflict.
If you have both installed, phpbb_recent_topics will work but Stray Random Quotes will not load quotes into his widget. what you will see at best is just quote-marks( if anything ) once the webpage is loaded.

I have not found any workaround.

Hi, I am using the “Stray Random Quotes” plug-in to display art quotes on a website. Ideally I want to be able to display images by each artist with their quote.

Is it possible to associate each random quote with an image? Or do you know of another plug-in that allows this?

Hello,

I’ve activated the “Stray Random Quotes” plug-in on my website (unlearnwhatyouhavelearned.com), but I can’t figure out how to embed it (if that’s what you do with plug-ins) on my website.

Specifically, I want to embed/place the quotations under the “AP Language” box on my homepage.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
