Thank you.
]]>I have a website multilingual: ITA (mbaudit.it/) and ENG (mbaudit.it/en/). The theme is Brooklyn (last version).
Polylang shows me the Theme Options variables (example: ut_site_copyright) BUT despite the fact that those Theme Options are translated (inside the Strings Translation area of the backend), the frontend of the ENG version (mbaudit.it/en/) shows me the ITA values of those Theme Options (for example inside the SUBFOOTER copyright area). So Polylang is does not care/does not read the translation strings.
So my question is: is Polylang compatible with Brooklyn or should I manually change something into the theme files in order to make it use the translations made with Polylang?
Example:
is this function inside the footer.php file compatible with Polylang or should it be changed somehow?
<?php echo do_shortcode( nl2br( ot_get_option(‘ut_site_copyright’) ) ); ?>
]]>I’m facing weird issue with Strings Translations page. When I have installed polylang and my theme. Also setted up 3 languages and in string translations there was showing 3 options to translate to 3 different languages. Now when I come to Strings Translations I only see my default language of website, other languages translation fields are missing, so I’m only able to translate default lang strings. I have tried to uninstall and install Polylang, then problem just gone, but that’s another problem. If I delete polylang (I mean hard delete with all data reset, because soft doesn’t work) my template lost structure (it made with Elementor), menus gone, pages, products, posts have no longer relations. There is any fix for this without uninstall or possibility to translate those slugs manually?

]]>And while there were problems with the xml validation (quotes, etc), I fixed them and validated, created my own wpml.config.xml file, made sure there wasn’t one in the original theme, saved it in wp-content/polylang
Then I tried to change and save one of the fields I was looking for, as I saw from reading the support threads that some of these values weren’t stored until customization changed.
I’m still not seeing these in the strings translation tab. Here are my synchronization settings:

Things I have tried:
– disabling all other plugins
– re-installing polylang
– checking file permissions
– making sure polylang_mo_# entries in the db looked normal
the site is unionetudiante.ca

]]>I have two major problems with Polylang since the last update of the WordPress to 4.2.2.
Both are seen in the section Settings -> Languages -> Strings translation.
First problem is that some of the strings there are grayed (not active) and I cannot modify them at all.
Example: https://marmoto.bg/screenshot.png -> see the strings where it says Widget, they are grayed and I cannot touch there
Second problem is that for the other strings, which are not grayed and are active I can modify them but once I click save changes nothing is really saved.
Example: https://marmoto.bg/screenshot.png -> see the sting where it says plugin_nng, there I can change for example the text “Lauzieres gallery” and translate it into Bulgarian, but once I click Save Changes nothing is changed.
My Polylang is version 1.7.6
I have read some forum posts about such problems and in many of them it is written, that this is due to using HTML code and scripts in the strings, but the problem for me is that the stings where I have HTML and scripts are grayed and I cannot delete or modify them so that I try if this will work out for me.
Any suggestions how to fix the problem?
Thanks in advance,
Vesko
I week ago my wordpress theme was actualised. After this actualisation the strings translation from my dashboard dissapeared. The page is still in three languages and works well, but when I want to change anything from the pages I have to edit it throw the website itself and not throw the dashboard. At the strings translation at the settings panel, it only appears Spanish.
What can I do to reset the polylang plugin without losing all the pages I have in English and German? My web is callandride.es.
Thank you very much!
