I have a weird behaviour of my links when I switch the language to EN.
I got a 404 error:
This my currently structure. Hoewer if I change the strcuture there is no error but I want that the url be https://dbaocana.grupohafesa.com/en/
]]>I am about to renew the while structure of my photos in kayhelena.work.
It shall become hirarchic according to taxonometric structure. As I understood an Album can contain one or more galleries and may have a parent Album… I hoped SimpLy Gallery will serve this.
The result shall bei Like that:
Inside a site a include an album “Nature” by shortcode.
“Nature” hast a Slider Gallery and ist parent of Album “Mineralis”, “Plantae”, “Vertebrata” and “Fungi” which are parent to other album, too. AS the hirarchi deepens the album May finally be linked with a Gallery containing pictures.
I expected the top level to show all pictures below it. I also expected to see the next deeper album titles to choose from. I expected to go one level deeper if I choose “Vertebrata” and then only see the pictures and album below that. And so on… Mammalia… Finally Canis.
but I have to confess… I cannot manage it.
Is Simply Gallery a dead end?
best wishes

]]>My WP site is installed in my root directory in the /public_html folder.
I saw that moving it into a subdirectory is very simple as per this article (Method I)! And I would like to do so since the WP files tend to clutter things up quite a lot.
My question is the following: If I have other folders in the /public_html (root) folder, how will I be able to access them?
For example, if I put WP in a subdirectory such as the /public_html/wp folder, and decide to redirect my domain there (https://www.example.com will lead straight to /public_html/wp), then will I be able to access folders such as /public_html/gallery ? With what URL structure?
Thank you!
– Gaurav.
2.If I was to use a starter template and and to create my own home page or use a different home page template from the design library-would I just delete the original home page?
So is it OK to delete or really modify an original home page? Or does it contain important structural information for the rest of the pages?
Any information on this would be most appreciated,
Thanks!
I’m reviewing the URLs of my website pages. When the site was built, the page URLs didn’t all follow the parent/child structure. I would like to correct this, to support our SEO. However, I’m mindful that if I simply change the URLs and connect them to their parents then anyone who uses the original URLs won’t be able to see the pages. So I would like to retain the original URLs somehow – would that be as aliases? I can’t find a place in WordPress to create friendly URLs/aliases/redirects.
I’m nervous about breaking any pages and would be grateful for any advice on tackling these URLs in a straightforward way.
Many thanks.
]]>So we have a company, I’ll call it domainA.com. Company “domainA” is a “parent” company, which has a bunch of “child” companies that operate under it, but we regard all the children as being a part of “domainA.”
For the sake of the example, let’s call the child companies domainB, domainC, and domainD.
We are doing a website redesign, and (if possible), I would love to have domainA serve as a sort of “company website hub” that links off to all the other child companies (domainB, domainC, and domainD), while all companies are available on the same WordPress website/installation. All child sites are going to reflect the same website layout/structure/colors/fonts/etc, the difference being each child company has a different objective.
> domainB – a one-page site with information about what we do and contact info to schedule tours
> domainC – a several-page website to explain hours and what we sell
> domainD – a “large” website with 10+ pages and tons of separate functionalities ranging from presenting information, linking to external resources, and contact us forms
Ideally, I would love each company domain to link to the same WordPress website. For example, domainA.com links to domainA, domainB.com links to domainB, etc., but all the company sites would be built on the same WordPress installation. Each company would have a separate header, BUT would use the same footer. Likewise, each child company header would ideally have a “back to parent” mechanic implemented.
Is this hypothetically possible? Is this a good practice? Or would the better approach be to have all children point to the domainA.com site and get their own directories, such as domainA.com/domainB, domainA.com/domainC, etc.?

Permalinks in SubFolder Installs
While permalinks will continue to work, the main site (i.e. the first one created) will have an extra entry of blog, making your URLs appear like domain.com/blog/YYYY/MM/POSTNAME.
This is by design, in order to prevent collisions with SubFolder installs. Currently there is no easy way to change it, as doing so prevents WordPress from auto-detecting collisions between your main site and any subsites. This will be addressed, and customizable, in a future version of WordPress.

Dennis I guess it is in your control to implement it in some plugin update. By the way, very good plugin.
Cheers
