Conflict with the Swift Mailer dependency

Is there a reason why WP Cassify bundles and loads Swift Mailer?

It causes an error when I try to install and activate the MailPoet 3 newsletter plugin.

I did notice that the require statement for swiftmailer in wp-cassify.php is commented out.

We are trying to update to MailPoet 3 because MailPoet 2 generates errors under PHP 7.3. However, we cannot activate MailPoet 3 because of a conflict with an essential plugin – WP Cassify.

MailPoet Error: MailPoet has detected a dependency conflict (\Swift_Mailer) with another plugin (…/wp-content/plugins/wp-cassify/classes/vendor/swiftmailer/swiftmailer/lib/classes/Swift/Mailer.php), which may cause unexpected behavior. Please disable the offending plugin to fix this issue.

We, of course, cannot disable our single-sign-on plugin.

using SwiftMailer to send html emails

Probably I am making this overhard, but I can’t seem to find any reference to simply make SwiftMailer send out html emails. I am using SendGrid and Swiftmailer and text emails work great. My goal is to write a html-based email, hand it off to SwiftMailer and have it go thru as written.

Can I do that? Thanks!!

Why require swift mailer separately?

Hey,

I just want to know.. why do you require swift mailer to be installed separately as a plugin by a different developer? Why not bake it into your plugin so people don’t have to find the text (that’s not really that visible) in the descriptions and manually search for the swift mailer plugin to install that too..

I can’t imagine there’s an copyrights issue since it does not seem like the developer of the swift mailer plugin owns swift mailer in any way either. If there is some sort of legal thing behind it perhaps you could at least make the references to the plugin into links that leads directly there. Then people can at least be confident they’re downloading the correct plugin.

Got the following msg:
The WordPress plugins were updated with errors:

When looking at the Settings tab I see blank, no information at all, and same with the other tabs, Jobs, Logs, API Keys, etc. Backup job seemed to run ok!

Plugin updated ok on my other sites on same server. Do I have to deactivate/delete reinstall, reconfigure…?

550 messages should have one or no content-type headers, not 2

When I’m using Mailpoet in combination with Sendgrid and SwiftMailer I receive a 550 error. This ie due to a second content header.
SendGrid advice me to change the setContentType() in SwiftMailer.
Where can I change this content header.
15 of my Newsletter users don’t receive the Newsletter due to this problem.
