]]>I’ve selected Swipebox for my lightbox, and I’ve enabled the option to show title and navigation bars on mobile devices if Swipebox is the lightbox. But the title and navigation bars still aren’t showing in the lightbox mode on iPhones (Safari) or Android devices.
Can you help?
Thanks!
]]>I’m not a web developer or coder or any sort of computer scientist. I was hired by someone to help develop their wordpress site more. Since the latest wordpress update, apparently this has broken some of the plugins on the site and the issue is a “swipebox” that turns the whole screen black when I try to click on anything. I saw that this plugin can be used to temporarily fix the broken plugins so I can log in an disable them.
I have no idea how to install and use this plug in though. It says to upload it to wp-content/plugins/ but how do I access that if I can’t even log in to my site (because the whole screen turns black). I saw somethings mentioned of using cPanel or myPHPadmin, but I have no idea how to use these software or how to even install them either. My client is an older person and doesn’t know much about technology (much less than myself), so doesn’t know any of the server information anyways.
My client is really upset with me and thinks I broke the website. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix these broken plugins and get into my site?
]]>Recently I’ve encountered a problem, whenever I click anywhere on my website whether it’s an image or a simple url from Main Menu or a normal link in my articles. A white box comes up and doesn’t let go anywhere. Also, I can’t close that box.
So after checking the code of my website through Chrome developer tool. I saw a code which says [<div id=”swipebox-overlay” style=”width: 1010px; height: 789px;”>]
I don’t understand why this swipebox overlay occurred. Please help guys
]]>Swipebox stopped working in several instances of WordPress regardless of the installed plugin.
Due to an incompatibility with jQuery 3.x.x Swipebox may not work anymore, seems the project is silent for years now, ref: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/website-goes-blank-swipebox-overlay, https://github.com/brutaldesign/swipebox/issues/379
i checked the release notes and WordPress updates jQuery with 5.5/6/7:
https://www.ads-software.com/news/2020/12/simone/ search “For developers”
Someone made a patch and forked swipebox (3 years ago):
https://github.com/mho79/swipebox/
also a more maintained (last commit 2 years ago) fork does exist:
https://github.com/One-com/shinybox
when i replace the file /wp-plugins/responsive-lightbox/assets/swipebox/jquery.swipebox.min.js
with that patched version it starts back working.
Please consider to update that file.
]]>Just wanted to share with you an issue I am facing using your excellent plugin.
Seems that the URL it generates is different from the one a user sees connected to their Flickr PRO account and browsing their content.
Definitely not related to photos marked as private on Flickr, since it always shows a 404 page when the “view” link is clicked up top on the middle of the screen when viewing the photos in a lightbox having swipebox enabled.
Any ideas as to might be causing this URL mismatch which ultimately leads to a 404 page on Flickr’s website?
Stay safe and many thanks in advance,
Anastasios
Suddenly on all of the pages of my website, once it loads and i click on something. It goes black and basically has a overlay on top.
Upon further inspection, the overlay is of SWIPEBOX… i have no idea how it occured nor any idea on how to remove it. there is no plugin installed for it either. Is there way to manually remove this?
it is rendering the website unusable.
