Description:
Some products that have been sold and no longer exist in Square are still showing under the cross-sells section under the “You may also like section”. When the user clicks on the item, a 404 page is displayed because of course the product doesn’t exist anymore. And yet, running a broken link check doesn’t find these orphaned products.
1. How can I prevent this from happening going forward?
2. How can I find any others if link checks fail?
3. Lastly, is there a way to actually prevent certain products from synching? (Separate and unrelated question)
Thanks!

]]>I have trouble with synching my Shopify Shop to my WP Page via the WP_Shopify plugin. First up I should say I have my page set up locally via MAMP on my Mac (If that makes a difference – so I can’t give a link to the page). I have followed the documentation to connect the shop to my WordPress. At first the synching seemed to work – It is showing the categories (collections) but when I click on a collection to see all the products inside I get a “404 – Sorry, page not found!” error. By navigating directly to a detail page of a product via URL I get the same error.
Furthermore I get the following error when trying to synch “Product & Collection Detail Pages” under “tools” (Translating this myself from german so the message might be a bit different):
“No route was found that is identical to the request-method while calling rest_no_route. Please empty the plugin transient cache and try again.
Errorcode: 404”
Aswell as the Waring error:
“Warning: While synchronizing no smart collections were found”
Clearing the transient cache doesn’t seem to work – after clearing it the same errors appear.
I’m having the problem for a couple of days now – maybe someone can help me on this? Here are a couple of screenshots to this matter – it is in german but maybe it helps nonetheless.

]]>I have been using UpdraftPlus to send auto backups to Dropbox. All seemed to be working fine, until I received an email saying today from DropBox that they were concerned that I deleted 50,200 files yesterday. All of these files are updraftPlus backups. Definitely concerning, because I did not delete anything! I have a pro Dropbox plan with 1 TB storage and am only using 221 GB. I am emailing DropBox for support to see if they can help with this or at least explain what may have happened.
Looking at the files that were deleted, what is really concerning is that these are the new backups that were moved to the trash, and not the old backups of the site. (Backups that are deleted are dated Feb 13th and Feb 14th 2016) – whereas when I log into Dropbox, the backups in the Apps folder some go all the way as far back as June 2015.
Also – I noticed some sites are not synching to DropBox at all, despite having auto backups configured. Thank goodness I run daily cPanel backups as well as send backups to Amazon s3! One site, which is set up to send a monthly backup to Dropbox, shows two recent backups were made on the server which I can download – but the last time it ever synched to Dropbox was all the way back in June?
Anyways, feel free to contact me if you want to look into this further – maybe I have something misconfigured or there is a glitch/limitation with Dropbox I am not aware of. I have updated all of my sites to the latest UpdraftPlus version.
Thanks!
