Dear all, I use a shipping company that does not include taxes in the prices shown to customers. So I need help to include the result of this calculation in the shipping price shown to customers. The price will vary based on the shipping price without taxes and the destination zip code. The variables are the shipping price without taxes and the destination zip code. Depending on the destination zip code, there are two possible rates. In one, the shipping price without taxes is divided by 0.88 and in the other, the shipping price without taxes is divided by 0.93. In both cases, the result of this division should be the shipping price shown to the customer. How do I do this calculation and put the result as the shipping price shown to the customer? We use Avalara as our way of ensuring that sales taxes are charged properly for our WooCommerce e-commerce store. Our product line includes memberships, which are sold to customers as a form of subscription. Each membership/subscription has an initiation payment, then regular monthly renewals until the customer cancels. Since we are located in a sales-tax-free state, we don’t want any of these transactions going to Avalara. The initial payments are already set to be tax-free, but I’m not seeing how to set it up so the renewals are also tax-free.

Any help anyone can offer will ne much appreciated.

VAT is added twice instead of once

Whenever people order from outside of Belgium (where I am based), the VAT of their order is added twice. (The amounts are also slightly different, for example €12,16 and €12,76.) I’ve had this problem with orders from France and Germany. I have already checked the tax rate sheet, and the ‘compound’ box is never checked.

I would be very grateful if someone could tell me why this is happening or how to fix it!

Hi there,
I have an issue with my woocommerce page. As you can see, on the shop landing page all products are listed. On the product image you can find the information: incl. VAT. Very strange looking, like it was cut. In addition it is shown below the image. I don’t need this information twice on this page, is there a opportunity to delete the information ON the image? So that it is just shown below the image?
Same on the single product page. There it is shown twice, too. Any ideas how to fix this? I couldn`t find out a way to remove one of the VAT informations…

Billing and Shipping Addresses Not Correctly Added to WooCommerce Order

Hello! I added PayPal Smart Buttons to the mini-cart to allow users to place orders directly from the mini-cart. Unfortunately, after an order is created, I’m experiencing several issues:

Missing Billing Address:

The billing address is missing from the order details. The shipping address contains the billing information I added during PayPal checkout.
I logged data from the configure_addresses function in wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-paypal-payments/modules/ppcp-button/src/Helper/WooCommerceOrderCreator.php after order creation. The $billing_address data is mostly empty, and the billing information entered is appearing in $shipping_address. This issue occurs even when users enter different billing and shipping addresses. If the same address is used for both, the billing address remains empty.

I am struggling to get taxes to be applied to my ticket sales in our checkout cart. If you are signed in with an address connected to the account taxes will be applied. If you put a normal product in your cart and check out it still offers taxes. My product works with taxes if it is a downloadable product only and not a virtual product, but I cannot seem to go more than a few minutes before the system automatically adds virtual product to the product details and taxes then no longer show up again. Unless you have an account and a shipping address set up taxes do not show up for our pants show ticket products. I know I could just require people to register and set up a shipping address but I don’t want to do that. I want to have taxes to applied to my downloadable product and for it to stop thinking its a virtual product. I just want to be able to sell tickets from our products section and have taxes be applied at check out as they normally are. Our tax settings are automated with the woocommerce shipping and tax plugin. How can I resolve this? Thank you!

Cannot get local pickup to work + tax question

Hello!

I have just set up woocommerce, and I have enabled local pickup for costumers in norway (or oslo, a little unsure of how it works).

but when i try to buy a product, the only option is the flat rate shipping, that i have also set up.

i notice that the setup page says: When enabled, local pickup will appear as an option on the block based checkout. But what does that mean?? Is block based checkout something that i have to enable? I cannot find anything about it.

Also: taxes. Are these so that taxes are calculated for the costumer when checking out? I have a handful of international costumers and usually i just ship the objects and write content and value on the package. Is the tax option for collecting import taxes in advance?

How to rename the TAX text from VAT to GST

I am trying to rename the VAT text to GST with Woocommerce.

As suggested in a previous thread, nothing worked here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/change-vat-text-in-invoice/

Creating a new tax class and changing the tax name to GST worked, but it isn’t reflected under the invoice. The invoice only shows including VAT. Any help?

3. The WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips plugin is awesome in customizing the invoices at no cost, but even that did not worked in changing the tax name from VAT to GST.
