I’ve fallen in love with how well the learning modules for wordpress have been designed. I am a newb with anything related to computers and have loved watching the modules. I am also getting increasingly worried about plug in bloat and don’t want my site to be overloaded with plugins. Could you kindly explain:

How would you design a site similar to the learn.www.ads-software.com site with the use of minimal (or no) plug-ins. If possible, I’d like to stick to a default wp template such as twenty twenty four. The site I have in mind is to create teaching content for non-programmers in a niche field- would like to keep it as minimalistic as possible. A sense of progression (what parts of the course are complete and how long would it take) similar to here would be awesome! Not sure if this site was made with learn dash but thought I’d ask here.
Would keeping the teaching content in a structured learning environment that a learner progresses through, would it impede SEO? For instance, can the seo link directly to the 3rd link for a question I have?

Hi there

We are considering purchasing the WordPress Theme | Eduma.

I have a few pre-purchase queries.

Zoom intergration – I could not find any further info on this. What costs are involved with this – so does one need to sign up with Zoom, and then purchase a licence for each online instructor?

Whiteboard. I see the theme has a forum – but we want to know if there is a whiteboard functionality in the theme or does one need to have a seperate plug in etc to use online whilst a teacher is busy with a one on one lesson.

Can someone advise me if the following is reasonable, and if so how to approach the problem.

For teaching a class, I would like to post today’s lesson in abbreviated form before the class meets, then after the class session, put a fuller form of the post in place of the abbreviated form.

I realize I could just edit the post after the class and add the necessary information, but I would like to have the expanded form ready to post immediately after the class. Also, the fuller form would be my own teaching notes that I would need before the class.

Teaching WordPress – should I do a local install?

I am will be teaching www.ads-software.com for the first time. Since it is a short course students will have to choose and register domain name and hosting on the first hour.

Issue- I suspect many will have problems coming up with the domain name there and then and might not have credit card to pay for them etc.

Question – what should I use instead? I’d like to avoid using XAMPP as this is a beginner’s course. Is there a way that I could get students to register for a free domain and host that’s good enough to do what say, bluehost would do? Or, should I purchase hosting with unlimited domain name so it could be used by my students for the sake of the class?

Appreciate some feedback especially from people who have done training before!
