Some plugins and template not working

Hi,

I seem to be having lots of trouble when it comes to certain plugins and templates on the genesis framework.
For example:
– I downloaded contact form 7 and this isn’t working when I paste the shortcode.
– I tried using the blog page template after selecting all the correct settings and it doesn’t show any of my previous posts
– I’ve just installed the photo gallery plugin, created a gallery and shortcode, then uploaded it, and again nothing is showing up.

Could there be something blocking certain plugins/templates from working?
My website hasn’t been “launched” yet so it’s unable to be viewed by anyone else.

No Search results showing on the base results page

I’ve looked through all topics and haven’t found anything that would help. I have WP_posts using categories and subcategories. Currently, I am able to get the acps form to display my categories. However on search, no posts are displayed. My guess is that the WP_Query isn’t doing its thing on my theme but then again I reinstalled the plugin to try the default plugin template – it didn’t work.

I activated Twentyfourteen but it didn’t work in that either (I use YooThemes). I have gone through the FAQs and still can’t the results to show up. I’m running WP 4.1.1, could this be a compatibility issue?

listings not found?

hello, I just started to use your wp smart property. I love it but after I create a listing, add the search widget and actually search, it says it can’t find any properties/posts every time. If i use the search function on the main site, the property is there. When I click it, it says it can’t be found. Please help. I can see it’s using the basic formatting of my template, which is great. Sorry, I am a novice and just starting to use wordpress.

Custom Archive Index not working

I wish to create a single page with links to all archived entries. I followed the instructions on https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Creating_an_Archive_Index. But the template is not activating — it’s as if my selection within the Page’s Template (drop down) selection isn’t recognizing the “articles-list.php” template that I created. I checked the WP Reading settings and the “Post page” is set to the correct Page (that connects to the template).
I’m using the Twenty-Twelve template.
Am I missing something here?

Templates aren't working with the "Template Name" keywords.

Hi, I am trying to create a page template.

So I created a file “page-home.php”, and i put the following line in it:

* Template Name: Home Page

So I select the “Home Page” template from list of dropdown templates, and then when I view the page, my entire theme blows up and all I see is a white background with the text that I personally input into the body of the page.

Does anyone know why this happens?
