Is graphene 1.8.3 theme compatible with Buddy press?

I just started making a BP website and I want to use Graphene as a theme. I can not find information on the latest version. Only older post where you have to use the BuddyPress Template Pack. By checking this out it, it is mentioned that this plugin Requires: WordPress 3.0 / BuddyPress 1.2 or higher
Compatible up to: WordPress 3.3.1 / BuddyPress 1.5.4

So do I use this Template Pack or can I just use Graphene and will all the BP features work?

No BP compatiblity under 'Appearances'

Buddypress is installed and active under ‘plugins’. I’ve also added a woo theme called ‘postcard’. But I cannot see any BP compatibility under ‘Appearance’ to view the step by step instructions for the plugin. Under edit plugins ONLY the loader php is active. The others are inactive.
What to do?

I followed the instructions, and got buddypress to fit in with my template, great. The problem I have is now my activity stream is double posting updates.

This stops when I deactivate the plugin, but obviously that renders my buddypress install a mess.

Any ideas?

Two issues with BuddyPress

So I’m a novice, and everything I’ve learnt has been in the past week or two by setting up my own site.

I began with WordPress, using the Erratic theme by VPS Hosting, then integrated the wp-ecommerce plugin, now I want a forum on my site, so I went for Buddypress as it seemed to have the best functionality.

I used the Buddypress Template Pack to integrate it into my theme, and now I have two problems:
1. The Buddypress Admin Bar is fine on all my WordPress pages, but once I go into a Buddypress page, the admin bar disappears and leaves an unsightly empty space at the top of my pages.
2. My theme is fine on all my WordPress pages, but when I go to a Buddypress page the bottom half doesn’t align correctly. The sidebar and widgets are fine, the Buddypress content is laid out just how it should be, but the bottom half of the padding and the footer are aligned way over to the right.

As I say, these issues only appear on the Buddypress pages, not on the WordPress pages. I was at it all day yesterday and all last night searching through Google and all my theme files trying to figure out what is up, but I’m just too new at this.

Oh, and I do apologise for posting this up on here but I tried the Buddypress.org and for some reason the type fields didn’t show up so I couldn’t type up a new topic =( So many issues!

I was tempted to just go for another plugin, but after seeing the Buddypress admin bar all over my website, I grew very accustomed to it and want to keep it there now… Any suggestions or help that anyone can offer on fixing these two problems for me would be so greatly appreciated!

BuddyPress Template Pack Nags

I’ve installed Buddypress and the BuddyPress Template Pack, but keep getting these nags across my network sites. Clicking on the links within the nags basically takes me nowhere – either to the install plugins screen, or the install themes screen.

My theme is working fine with BuddyPress – how can I just disable these nags network wide?

BuddyPress is ready. You’ll need to activate a BuddyPress compatible theme to take advantage of all of the features. We’ve bundled a default theme, but you can always install some other compatible themes or upgrade your existing WordPress theme.

BuddyPress and BP Template Pack with Existing Theme is Not Smooth Sailing

I have my site on a different theme than one of the buddypress compatible themes.

I read through a lot of buddypress and BP template pack posts and docs and frankly it does not seem like smooth integration with an existing theme.

My current theme is stable and works properly and I’m scared that introducing buddypress and BP template pack will mess it up.

Is there ‘one version of the truth’ documentation on how to integrate an existing theme with buddypress and BP template pack that I can follow and get this to work the first time around instead of trying it and having to struggle to get it working.

I found that the BuddyPress Template Pack is supposed to make buddypress work with our own site theme but the pack seems broken as per the voting on the BuddyPress Template Pack web site.

Are there other solutions that would make buddypress work with our own themes?

Buddypress pages menu help!!!

Hello, I am using buddypress with my custom theme that I made and I have everything working perfectly. There are some bland styling problems with the buddyopress template pack so I decided to style things my way. I did well untill I got to the part about the members pages menus. The little menu that says Activity – Profile – Messages – Friends – Groups… ect. I want to use the same custom menu that I made for my theme with those links or menu items but I can not figure out for the life of me how to get them in there, Can anyone help me to see how to get this go, lol. I have tried things like copying and pasting the css for my theme menu into the buddypress files but its not working to style them. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
