I have been a WordPress designer for ten years. I don’t love Jetpack, but I found the site stats to be less confusing for clients than Google Sitekit or other alternatives. I personally have used the stats as a quick overview for years when I didn’t want to get too bogged down by metrics. Now, after 10 years of using Jetpack on the same sites, it is suddenly asking me to pay. I have nothing against businesses wanting to make money, but since Automattic has been reaching its hands deeper into the pockets of unsuspecting .org users; I have to wonder, is .com simply hemorrhaging money? Is this your solution?

To make matters worse, the “NEW STATS” is the most ridiculous downgrade I’ve seen in recent memory.

Save your time and go install something else. Also, starting to charge for a functionality that was free for decades without warning is not just scummy, it’s downright predatory.

I tried for 3 months to get this to work, it keeps breaking. They promised to add features but it did not happen. Do not buy this plugin it is worthless
I really wanted this to work and I tried hard to get it to work, but after 3 months they refused to refund the money spent.

Guest mode button makes popup too tall for mobiles

If you add the guest button, the popup is too tall for average mobile phone screen sizes.

on all iphones safari adds a small toolbar to the bottom of the window until you scroll. This prevents the FB chat box from being fully visible. The close icon and top bars are off the screen.

Please can you adjust the CSS so that this bug is fixed or provide clear instructions on how to override the styling using css.

I didn’t login to my website in a few days. Today, when I logged in, I had 10 pages of fake email addresses with duplicate names. It makes me wonder if the developers added these email addresses to make it look as if their plugin really worked.

If I could give it zero stars, I would.

Would give zero stars if I could.

1) Poor coding

2) Breaks site after most updates

3) Slow to fix issues

4) Poor customer service

5) Generally a poor quality plugin.

A brilliant plugin destroyed in one update, used on all my sites as it was a good way to see a quick update of the analytics on my dashboard not that I am over bothered as its more hobby sites.

Now full of spam, bloated and demands crazy permissions on monitoring your google probably to harvest and sell information on, or target you with crap.

But WTF remove all what’s decent and stuff it behind some of the craziest pricing/ price wall I have ever seen on what’s a basic app that I can login in to google and see myself should I require.

I really don’t know what the authors are drinking or smoking but $99 per site per year has killed this once great plugin even from a corporate/ eshop perspective with money to waste there are better plugins out there.

*Update 1* Now uninstalled on all my sites.
*Update 2* Now using Lara’s Google Analytics, does the same with no spam have the info on my dashboard again with all I need and more.

Poor/non-existent documentation, confusing GUI, grammatical errors on website

Poor/non-existent documentation, no annotations on settings that explain anything, grammatical errors on website.

The developers show complete contempt for even basic English on their website, “All uploaded files stored inside protected, secure folder, which does not accessible for website visitors.” [sic]

And they want to take your money, but you’re not worth their time to write up some documentation, annotate the settings, or even get basic English grammar right on their website.

No visible ticketing system.

Also complete lack of contact details barring a generic contact form and a generic-looking website. Respectable plugin publishers don’t hide behind a veil of anonymity and genericness.

Also unclear if it is possible to generate a download link without sending an email.

I review thousands of plugins a year and it’s been a while since I’ve seen such a mess of a plugin, where the seemingly-autistic developer lacks the empathy to assume the shoes of an average WP user.

Poor Support & Plugin Didn’t Work on 5 Sites. Waste of A Licence Fee

The reviews convinced me to purchase the plugin with an unlimited licence, but after 2 weeks of problem solving the only solution was to remove this plugin altogether. The developer was arrogant and not willing to refund either. When you invest too much time and resources in fixing something that should work out of the box, its time to scrap it for good.

Plugin Does Not Work with Video Cloud Service, Never Ending Load Bar

I have signed up (to start with) the $99 account — NO API.

This “Official” plugin does not work, you simply get a never ending gray loading bar.

This “Official” plugin is only supported through this forum where no answer to this problem can be found, however, several people are having the problem.

If you simple want to embed the players into WordPress(.org) installs, you can not use the Visual Editor. This will break the embed code. This is useless if the visual editor is turned enabled, which most people need.

I have added the information for PublisherID, PlayerID and PlayerKey. I then go to WordPress, click on a post to edit, click Add Media and then choose the Brightcove Tab. This is where the problem is, the page will never load.

I’ve tried all the different player IDs/keys with no success.

This plugin created by Brightcove is not supported professioanlly by the company only through this forum as they claim it is “open source”.

Is there a way for this plugin to work? Otherwise I would not suggest ANYONE WITH A www.ads-software.com INSTALL BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY.
