Text distortions and blurred images on mobile

Hi,

I am having issues with the rendering of the website in mobile devices. The header images (in Cover blocks) show blurred on mobile and the horizontal and vertical spacing of text in Paragraphs (inside the Cover blocks) changes producing an unwanted aesthetic effect.

Any ideas on how to fix these issues? I read several articles but it seems none could provide a fix.

I am working on Astra-child theme. Theme and plugins are updated to their latest versions.

Since updating to the latest WordPress, paragraph tags with the brackets are visible in my bio blurb! Any idea what’s causes the platform to render tags visible to site viewers? Weird.

Em & En Dash cause strange rendering problem

I did a few searches and couldn’t easily find anybody else talking about this. Maybe it’s just a bug. I’m really not sure.

Anyway, on my WordPress site, it seems that WordPress renders any spaces between two em or en dashes as . It also does it when using three hyphens (which render as an em dash.)

Because of this, whole sentences are being treated as a single word, causing line breaks in very strange places.

Look at the source code and you’ll see it. The plain text editor view of the post just has spaces here, not .)

So… is this a bug? Or, any suggestions for how I might be able to fix it via a filter or something?

I love the Connections plugin so far, but a big concern is the rendering of the text. It’s very rough. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there a work-around or fix?

In summary, bbPress tends to eat up angled brackets and it somehow forces opening and closed quotations instead of straight ones, which breaks code snippets. It’s causing major headaches on our forum.

Text does not show up in post

I recently moved from wordpress.com to my own site. The text of two old posts now is not rendered when you view them. One is here:

Note that it is rendered correctly (including pictures) except of course it doesn’t have access to WP’s TeX rendering.

I hope someone can figure out why this is happening.
