Version 3.0 SPAM problem?

Hi folks,

I’m using WordPress for a long time now. A few days ago I upgraded to Thelonious. Almost immediately I was flooded with SPAM comments (about 100 a day). You must know, I have a rather small blog, and through the years I had constantly very few SPAM comments (maybe 1 in two weeks).

My question is: Do other WP users experience the same since their upgrade?

Just my thoughts.

Encoding problem when posts sharing on facebook (after update to 3.0)

Hello there,
In all of my blogs i have updated to version 3.0 “thelonious”, have problem when i try to share a post on facebook (via facebook connect / addthis plugin even with a simple url copy-paste). All the characters are in the greek language (encoding UTF-8) have encoding problems!

Any Suggestions?

Does 3.0 Remove Original Default Theme?

I was wondering if when I update my wordpress installation to 3.0, would it remove the original default theme or just add thelonoius to the themes folder?

Hello, can someone tell me, systematic instructions on to backup my files and database? I would really appreciate it. My dashboard is telling me to update to 3.0 Thelonious. I thought I already had 3.0. My host site is also telling me to do an update. I’m scared.
