Customizations not showing up on pages

I loaded the plugin – went to Appearance/Customize and have added a background image and made some menu changes. But when I preview pages – non of what I did shows up. It doesn’t show on the page as I edit it either. I am not that familiar with WP – so probably something simple.

I noticed that while I was in the customization menu – everything shows up as though I am editing a page (it was listed as “untitled” – am I actually editing a page in that menu – or is it for all of the pages on the site? I thought it was supposed to be site wide. If not – then where is the page I was editing?

This theme was easy to setup and customize, and when I found I needed a few things adjusted, I ordered customizations. The developer was easy to work with and had the modifications completed in just a few days. I’m very happy.

Cannot save theme customizations

WordPress 4.9.4 running Modularity Lite theme. All plugins disabled.

I recently changed domains. I deleted all files from my server and re-added them from my backup, but did install a fresh installation of wordpress. I have the site up and running on the new domain and now things like my theme customizations need to be set again… My header image is now gone. Appearance-> Customize-> Header Image…. The old one is still saved in my theme, I select it and click publish, looks like it saved but it never shows up on the live site. I also cannot change the site title under “site identity”. It lets me change and publish but the changes never show up on the live site, and the chnages are gone when I go back to the Customize section of the Appearance tab.

? Every time I am checking the site after a change is made, I am using a new incognito window in chrome so cookies and cache are not an issue
? I have disabled all plugins
? I have read other threads about ModSecurity fixes… they did NOT work for me. I completely disabled ModSecurity on my site to test and it does not make a difference
? I am not getting an error code that says to wait and try again. Everything looks like it was published, but the changes are never reflected on the live site.

I have no idea where to go next. Ideas??

Home page customizations lost

I navigated to a website I built for my mom’s work and noticed that ALL the home page customizations I’d made in my child theme were lost. I hadn’t noticed any change before that by doing updates to the Appointment Theme. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced this and knows what happened. Luckily, I had a local version saved from when I initially built it so fixing the home page customizations weren’t terrible, but I’d rather this NOT happen in the future because I had no idea until I decided to randomly check on it. Everything from my Child Theme customizations were still in tact which is why I’m so confused. I had quite a few updates to plugins and themes pending, so I’m wondering if one of those caused it, but like I said, Appointment theme updates in the past haven’t affected it because of my child theme. So I’m wondering if it has something to do with a plugin. Anyone know of plugins that cause this error?

I do have this annoying alert saying that I need to Update/Install Admin Builder Plugin because of some other plugins I have activated, but they work fine without it.

Please help!

403 Forbidden error / page=functions.php (port 80)

I keep getting this error when I try to save the customization settings of the theme. i.e the custom settings that many themes have.

For example the theme has links to various social profiles. When I update the links and hit save I get this error. Ditto when adding any google analytics code.

Any idea why this error comes up?

How to change Content area Width

Recently i Purchased One Genesis Child Theme(Prose). I am not Techie Girl. I have some issue with the Content area width. my content area width is too low and is not looking Good.If any Css Expert here can Suggest me how to increase the Content area Width?? I changed in my style.css which is

float: left;
padding: 10px 0 20px;
width: 420px;
}

I changed it from 420 to 520 but no change. Can Some one help me ??

I have installed wordpress and installed twenty twelve theme, some one here asked me to create child theme of that theme fro customization, I did that
the problem is that I don’t know code much(Beginner coder), I just want to remove that background space from top of the theme (above from logo).and also from the footer
I want to add a menu up there above logo(secondary menu)
Please ehlp me

Home page multiple problems: not able to publish child theme, desired options

I’ve read a lot of support posts, but I’m having problems with my home page in Responsive them look right. It’s at: https://daviesuu.org/:

I have the blog date, author, and comment as if it was a blog page, but none of the other pages do that – only the home page
I created a child theme which contains a style.css with the code just exactly as codex says to do – I’ve double check spelling, but on the Themes page, I get “The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.” It also says I have a Description theme, but I don’t.
I have a white background for the content area which looks good in my Firefox, but on my iPod it looks transparent showing the background image behind the text, whereas the other pages show with the white background

Additionally, I would like these features and don’t know how to do it:

Can I put the search in the menu?
Can I create a menu that shows up over the top of the banner on the right side that is short for just a few important links?
How do I change the color of the menu bar to black? I tried `.menu {background-color: #000000;
}` in the Custom CSS Styles but it didn’t work.

Any help would be appreciated.
