I use Thrive Architect on many websites, but for a recaptcha tool, it was Google reCaptcha or nothing. I used Google reCaptcha v2 and v3 for years but ultimately bailed on Google’s reCaptcha service because it invariably blocked legitimate submissions. My clients would contact me asking why they hadn’t seen contact form submissions in a while. When I tested a submission, I found mine was also blocked. And this was all well before the 2024 Google/Yahoo Email Sender Guidelines made the scene.

I came across the “GDPR-Compliant ReCaptcha for all Forms” plugin, and it seemed too good to be true. I couldn’t believe there was one that would work with Thrive Architect. I tried it out, and it immediately started blocking spam form submissions, but not my own. However, it started causing other issues, such as my inability to manage my websites from my ManageWP dashboard. Plus, a few other things were not working either. However, all of the issues mentioned here were user error.

If I had paid more attention to Matthias in his intro video, I would have used the plugin in “Explicit” mode and identified the exact action (associated with form submission) and had the plugin only targeting that action. With Matthias’ generous help, I configured the plugin correctly (it was easy), and now automated spam submissions are stopped in their tracks, and everything else is working fine. A+

Fatal error without mail

Hi,
I updated the plugin THRIVE and got a fatal error. The problem is that the email with “what to do instructions” were to be sent is in a domain that no longer exists, and I do not have access do myPHP or FTP.

WordPress backup doesn’t help – I can’t restore the backup and I don”t know why.
What to do? How to disable the plugin?

Thrive theme builder issue – blog page

Hi,

I’m using Thrive Theme Builder as my theme to build my website. I had almost everything done on the website.

I had a template that I created which showed me my latest Posts. I just changed the naming of that template in the backend, and now the blog page wont show my latest posts.

I’m in contact with Thrive Support, they say that the issue is caused by your plugin. Which is true, i’ve tested it myself.

I don’t know how to resolve this. When I disable your plugin all the sudden I can see my Posts again (sort of (lacking styling)). With you plugin activated it just says it cant see any.

Yoast SEO Giving False Conscutive Sentences Alert

I went to create a post but noticed that the SEO analysis is telling me that I my text contains 4 instances where 3 or more consecutive sentences start with the same word. The highlight butting doesn’t work. So to test if this is correct, I have taken the content down to ONE Sentence, and I am still getting this error. I have delete the post, renamed the post, cleared cache on both the site and the browser. I have tried other browsers all with the same result. I have deleted Yoast SEO, cleared cache, installed the latest plugin and I am still getting this nonsense. All my other post are still showing green lights. This is only happening on new post. I can’t supply a link as I am not posting a messed up post on my website. IS there an update that can fix this. I did however go to anther one of my websites and copied the text to it, and it is all green lights, so this issue is only with this one site. Any ideas?

I tried other WordPress development platforms but they just didn’t work for me. The most egregious one was the Beaver line; too complicated and too expensive. Elementor just worked for me. Here’s a few reasons why:

1. Complete package. Beaver made you add on several packages to get what Elementor provided. The total costs was around $500!

2. There are more addons for Elementor, paid and free.

3. Technical support was better. Their responses were not terse, they were timely, techs really cared about my problems, and when a fix was too complicated to explain, they just did it for me.

Plugin creates additional links for buttons in page builder

Hi,

Thanks for the plugin, it really speeds up my site. However, I have a few questions:

1. I use the page builder of Thrive Themes, and when your plugin is installed, it puts a second trigger for buttons that are meant to open a popup window (and puts the swcfpc parameter after links) like this:

So it’s not recommended to save it like this.
Is it possible to turn this behavior off for pages that have “tve=true” parameter in the URL? (editing mode)

2. I don’t really understand the use of the swcfpc parameter. Can’t just the plugin say to Cloudflare that “A logged-in user made the request, don’t cache this page”?
Also, why can’t be a page that are seen by a logged-in user cached, if it only caches the static assets (css, js, images, etc.), not the whole html code? (at least that’s what I think)

3. I’m trying to use as few plugins as I need to, and I made a few speed tests with and without using W3 Total Cache (with page cache turned off). The results were almost the same. Is there any significant benefit in using W3 Total Cache in addition to your plugin?
Also, I noticed that when W3 Total Cache is in use and I click on the “Test Cache” button in your plugin, it gives an error saying “Page caching is working for static page but seems not working for dynamic pages.”

Hi, we are experiencing JS errors in console as below, when Statically is disabled the issue disappears.

We are also unable to save any content in page editor as a result of JS issues.

We have purged cache several times, and disabled Litespeed etc. We have CDN disabled for logged in users also:
