Jetpack prevents block editing (tiled gallery)

Hi All,

After the Jetpack Update to 10.2 I can’t edit my pages that contain galleries. It’s only a box coming up to inform about an unexpected errorin the editor. After a look into the error report it turned out that Jetpack is the bad guy. After deactivating JP all pages loaded in the editor … however, no longer in the Tiled Mosaic style, which ís a feature of Jetpack.

Did anyone experience the same issue or has maybe an idea how to solve it ?

Tiled Gallery: Auto resize not work on the hidden gallery.

Hello,

I use multiple Tiled Gallery, and some of my galleries are hidden via CSS(like display: none). Everything works fine on desktop but mobile or small windows, the gallery remaining big (like as on desktop / full-size page).

This is happening only to hidden galleries.

Is any trigger resize on tiled-gallery.min.js to call when I show the hidden galleries and auto-resize the width and height of images?

Non-Classic Galleries Not Displaying Caption/Description

I have been adding captions to the images on my website for many years using Adobe Bridge. Bridge’s IPTC core editor does not have a “caption” field, so I use the “description” field in Bridge which then gets translated to the “caption” field by WordPress when I import media using the standard media importer. Recently, since the advent of what I’d call “non-classic” tiled galleries, the captions attached to images have stopped showing up. I don’t know how to fix this…

Here is an example of a post that has a tiled mosaic gallery using the “classic” WordPress editor: https://valtenbergs.com/archives/25634. You’ll note when one hovers over the images, the captions show up. The captions are also visible when one clicks on an image, which brings up the carousel slideshow.

How can I get the current version of the WordPress editor to display captions attached to images like it used to?! Thanks!

How to completely disable Jetpack CDN?

Hello,

I am looking for a method to completely disable Jetpack CDN and Image CDN.
Site Accelerator is already disabled, but images are still being delivered from Jetpack CDN.

Please note that I use the Tiled Gallery feature from Jetpack.

I would like to be able to completely disable CDN (so I serve my images from Cloudflare)

Tiled Gallery shows low quality image size

My tiled gallery is serving up image sizes of 600 or 667 and then stretching them to large sizes like 1200. I have uploaded them at 900 wide, so it should at least be using those larger image sizes. I tried disabling all the site accelerator, lazy load etc. I also tried both suggestions here https://www.hasoptimization.com/2018/01/going-wordpress-images-compressed/ and nothing makes a difference, no matter what I do, you can see that first image, when viewing on desktop is blurry because it is a small version being stretched. I don’t think it’s my theme, as the “large” size is 1024. I don’t have any sizes set to 600 or 667. Thanks for any help you can give with this.

Gallery Gutenberg stacked or tiled galleries

Dears, just like one option in media for transform all galleries to stacked galleries or tiled gallery for example. I think can be easy to add one menu and options in media setting, or publish one function.php for do that.
At least older galleries, by date, or directly all galleries.

Tiled Gallery only using full size image

I don’t know if this is Jetpack related, but recently, when I’m creating a Tiled Gallery / Adding new image to one, Jetpack doesn’t use the picture thumbnail anymore, it always uses the full width image.
In all me previous posts, it uses my Large thumbnail format (1600px) and that worked well.
Now, it shows the Full Size image in the Tiled Gallery as well as the Full size in the Carousel, which wasn’t the case previously.

Hello,

I’m hoping to enable the various gallery layout types (tiled etc) offered by WordPress on portfolio project pages.

The large scrolling page of large images doesn’t quite work for the content I want to display. I know this is a core aesthetic of Orvis but I would like to use the theme but regain the flexibility of the gallery display types supported in WordPress posts.

Any ideas?
