I was fiddling around with the CSS (height, overflow, text-overflow etc.) – I can get the full titles to show but the height of the divs won’t adapt dynamically.
Any help here highly appreciated or can this be set anywhere in the plugin settings? ]]>
Your SEO checklist (Basic SEO) says my SEO title at 89 characters is too long. It invites to edit the page.
The page title however is 53 characters.
This is confirmed when looking at the page source via the navigator.

Since the start of this site, I am facing this issue of trimmed Title in the google while the Yoast meta settings suggest that its length is perfectly fine.
]]>I chose the rounded thumbnails and the plugin shows the title of the post.
I set the option “Limit post title length (in characters)” to 66. This option has no warning that it is excluded with the thumbnail option, so it should work.
But as you see in the page given above, in the middle thumbnail, that it shows the whole title (so only the end of it…).
What can I do?

I use Avada theme to build my site, but I don’t see any option to do this in the theme. I’ve tried a couple of CSS that I found while searching these forums but none have worked, also they were fixed heights by px, I’d prefer an enforced blank line if possible, as it will be more responsive.

]]>But i’ve noticed quite a few of my titles are cut off in the search results.
I just have the post title in the title bar, without the site name.
The character length bar for titles says that 599/600 is okay and gives it a green bar.
Does this mean the title shouldn’t get cut off? As that’s what i’m seeing right now.
]]>For “Remove Blogname from Title” there is a warning saying “Only use this option if you are aware of its SEO effects”.
Can you tell me what is the consequence of doing this. It also says it might decouple posts/pages from the rest of the site. What does that mean?

]]>I found that the length of the title differs in Google and in the title preview in Yoast plugin.

So Google shows a bit longer title, which kinda would be nice to have the same length in the plugin as well.
Or is it by design?
