I love this plugin, however would love for the possibility to have variable data within the meta description tag and the title tag.
I thought that a good way to do this would be with a shortcode, however the shortcodes are ignored in SEO ultimate plus’s
tag rewriter.
I cannot find any other way to override SEO ultimate plus’s title tag rewriter.
Even if I add a filter to wp_title with highest priority.
Any help would be appreciated!

Karl

my default Post Title Format at the Title Tag Rewriter is {post} | {blog}, and it’s working fine. But, when I edit a post title tag, only that text will be the title, the | {blog} is missing. How can I fix it?
Thanks,
Zoltan

For example, under SEO > Title Tag Rewriter > Media, I have renamed a PDF file “2007 Q1 | Financial Synergies Newsletter”. However, the actual title of the web page (https://finsyn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/2007-Q1-Newsletter.pdf) has not changed, when it does with everything else on our site, just not the media.
Also, if I add the media via the library, and then add a title tag underneath it, the title tag doesn’t save. For example, I changed this file from “trading” to “trading desk” and it didn’t save when I updated it. https://finsyn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Trading.jpg

However I seem to have a bit of a problem with the title tag rewriter.
I use a static page as my start page on the site – the blog then takes the h1 of this page as the title of the site.
I can’t change the “Blog Homepage Title” and get it working. The blogs title will be the h1 of the static page.
If I take away the static page it is working, no problem.
So now I put in the “Blog Homepage Title” in the static pages title and then it worked.
So I quess I have to put in also the Meta description in the static page.
Will this come out alright on Google?
Is there any way of handling this?
