“Update failed: The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_MISSING_FILE (-4) : Missing archive file ‘/tmp/plugin-name.tmp'”
My understanding is that the error message indicates a full or missing temporary folder. To test this, I created a php script that indicates there are only 20kb available in the /tmp folder, which is the folder indicated in the WP error message.
Ontraport does not provide shell, cpanel, file manager, or ftp access to the wordpress installation. I had been using WP File Manager for management of the server’s files, but that plugin has stopped working at the same time that this /tmp issue has occurred with the plugins. I believe that the WP File Manager issue is the same as the plugin update issue.
Ontraport has indicated that I should reach out to WordPress for support on this issue.
Can someone assist me with this resolving this error message in order to update/install plugins?
]]>I have changed the file structure of a multisite that makes use of this plugin. But it seems like it does not work when the uploads
directory is a symlink even though I have defined the WPCF7_UPLOADS_TMP_DIR
to a custom tmp
directory (outside of the uploads folder).
File structure is as followed:
define('WPCF7_UPLOADS_TMP_DIR', WP_CONTENT_DIR . '/tmp/wpcf7_uploads');
)When changing the uploads
directory to a static directory it works fine, soooo…. any idea why it does not work when the uploads
is a symlink?
Note: cf7 file upload field works fine even when the uploads
directory is a symlink.
We are trying to install Wordfence CLI. We have followed all the steps from https://github.com/wordfence/wordfence-cli/blob/main/docs/Installation.md for the binaries installation and when we try to verify the binaries we get the next error:
./worfence: error while loading shared libraries: libz.so.1: failed to map segment from shared object: Operation not permitted
We have researched and it seems that the problem is that it is necessary to have the /tmp directory as noexec.
Is that correct? If so, is there any way to change that? We want to have the wordfence CLI installed, but the hosting does not allow to have /tmp directory as noexec.
Thank you.
]]>My tmp file is over 22MB so I was thinking of deleting. But it has folders I’ve never heard of and with further folders inside:
Analog – folder
awstats – folder
cpbandwidth – folder
pma_template_compiles – folder
webalizer – folder
webalizerftp – folder
RCMTEMPthumb… – file
sess_… – file
Can’t find anything on pma_template_compiles, does anyone know anything about it?
Are these folders & files okay to be directly deleted? Is there a way to download an entire folder in file manager? (I know you can with files, but can’t find anything for folders).
]]>I have a few questions:
– What are those files about? And is it safe to delete them to save some space?
– How can I stop Wordfence from generating these files?
Thank you so much.
