Hey there, is it possible to enable users to register with just an email address, and payment info and allow them to “activate” their account via a confirmation email, set their password and agree to the TOS all after registration?

Accept new terms of service after first login for existing registered users

I am migrating existing subscribers/users (via CSV) from one website/domain to a new website/domain . These current users have accepted the original domain’s TOS, but I have a new TOS for the new website/domain. Is there a simple way (plugin) to force my existing subscribers to accept the new website’s TOS upon their first login? I only need them to accept the TOS upon the first login and obviously have some record that they accepted the new TOS. I’m not sure it matters, but I’m using Paid Memberships Pro which handles new subscribers accepting TOS upon subscribing.

Hallo,

ich habe auf der Seite kürzlich Updates vorgenommen, WooCommerce auf 7.9.0, Germanized Pro auf 3.7.2 und Germanized auf 3.13.3.
Seitdem kann man im Checkout einfach bestellen, OHNE dabei die AGB Checkbox anzuhaken.
In den Einstellungen ist sie als Pflichtfeld gesetzt. Ich bekomme keine Consolen-Fehler und weiss grad nicht so richtig weiter…

Kann mir da jemand einen Tipp geben?

Is there any way to generate a TOS checkbox on the login page/widget?

The checkbox in the profile editing works fine, but I would like to make sure that the privacy policy and terms of use are accepted before a member logs in. Since our website does not set cookies, there is no need for a general query when accessing the page. This query is only necessary when a member logs in.

We appreciate your concern for users to use the captcha to avoid CC fraud but the inability to turn off the admin notice that appears everywhere in the admin dash interface is really too much. Give admin ability to dismiss notice either permanently or for 24 hours. At the very least if admin dismisses notice X it should not appear within the same admin user session. Does this notice that can not be removed by admin comply with WordPress developer TOS for plugins?

Hi,
thanks for this plugin, so far it looks brilliant.

I have an issue though that I can’t get to the bottom of.
In Checkout Settings > Require Terms of Service on signup? the box that should have the TOS is always empty on the front end.
In my case, the page is Terms and Conditions, and it does say Terms and Conditions above the box, and it also says below the box “I agree to the Terms and Conditions”, but the actual box is blank.

I have selected lots of different pages in the dropdown, and each time the heading above the box changes to the correct page title, and the line below the box always reflects the page selected, it always says “I agree to the (page selected)”. All the pages have content, but the box is always empty.

Any ideas on this?

Hi there

Please could you assist me with the wpmem_tos_link_txt

I’m not a developer and I’m unsure how to edit the TOS text. I have read https://rocketgeek.com/plugins/wp-members/docs/filter-hooks/wpmem_tos_link_txt/

However where is the forms.php file? Or am I supposed to create one? I have tried adding a file I created to the wp-members/inc/ folder and into my theme folder.

I have not been able to change the TOS text

Also can I move the text up so it’s next to the checkbox?
