In my article, Yoast SEO shows the following warning:

Transition words: Only 17.6% of the sentences contain transition words, which is not enough.?Use more of them.

I click “eye” button to highlight them. And in the first paragaph, there is such a statement highlighted(I use bold instead):

Scanpst.exe, commonly known as the Microsoft Outlook Inbox Repair Tool, is a built-in utility designed to diagnose and repair corrupted PST (Personal Storage Table) files in Microsoft Outlook. This essential tool comes bundled with all versions of Microsoft Outlook and serves as the first line of defense when users encounter issues with their Outlook data files.

So I edit the statement and add two transition words “Furthermore” and “therefore” to it, as below:

Furthermore, this essential tool comes bundled with all versions of Microsoft Outlook and therefore serves as the first line of defense when users encounter issues with their Outlook data files.

But the hightlight tool still highlight this statement with the same warning. Why?

Do I need to save the change to make Yoast SEO notice the change? I have installed WP Rocket, do I need to clear the cache as well?

I’m facing an issue using Yoast SEO in combination with the Polylang plugin on my WordPress site. The transition word check works correctly for posts in Portuguese, but when creating or editing posts in English, Yoast doesn’t recognize the transition words and displays the error: “None of the sentences contain transition words.”

It seems that Yoast performs its checks based on the default language set in the WordPress settings (/wp-admin/options-general.php), which is affecting the accuracy of the analyses for posts in different languages. When I change the site’s language, the error occurs in the opposite language.

I would like to know if this issue has already been identified and corrected in recent versions or if there is any alternative solution I can apply. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Though the Czech language is supported by this feature (see https://yoast.com/help/features-per-language/) , here – https://yoast.com/help/transition-words-in-your-language/ – i cannot see list of transition words for CZ (CS) language. We try to use words/sentences like “Tak, …” or “Tím pádem, …”, but system doesn’t detect them as “transition words”. What we can do with this situation? Thanks

For sentences that need a transition word, the highlighting is reversed. It would be far more helpful and consistent if the highlighting showed the problem sentences (the ones that need a transition) as it does for other things.

Also, the tools tips could tell you what clicking the eye icon will do. I had to find a video that even told me which way this one works.

I have had a blog from several years. It is only in Spanish.

Now for some years, the system won’t recognize Spanish Transition Words. I’ve tried to use them from the list and no luck.

However if I write them in English, yoast will recognize them. Even if the rest of the article is in Spanish. For example, one of the articles is about a place called First Residence, and it scans that as Transition Words.
