Unable to upload .ged file

I am the author of the Gedshow plugin. This plugin allows the uploading of files with the .ged extension and it then processes the information in the file and displays it. I have added the .ged file extension to the permitted mime types in my plugin code. One of my users is reporting that your plugin prevents the uploading of .ged files and he has to disable your plugin to allow the uploading of the file. Any suggestions as to any changes I can make to work with your plugin?

Issue With Uploads on Pantheon

Unable to upload anything with a site hosted on Pantheon. Client has contacted Pantheon about it, who came back stating it was an issue with the bfu_temp path that is set by this plugin.

Pantheon only allows uploads to the wp-content/uploads directory, however, the BFU temp path is located in wp-content/bfu-temp.

When I try to upload an image, there is a message below that says: “Error. You should choose a file first.” But I have already chosen an image.

I checked the image formats but that’s not the problem.

Elementor upload SVG error not loading SOLVED

There are a number of posts scattered throughout the internet dating back to 2018 about Elementor having issues uploading custom SVG’s.

After 6 hours of banging my head against the keyboard and several Tylenol’s I have figured this out.

You need to disable Media library assistant plugin if you have it. As soon as I did that, SVG’s upload no problem.

To the Elementor team, please get on this, so there’s not conflict between Media Library Assistant and Elementor.

You’re welcome I hope this saves someone else the headache.

I’m running the latest wordpress and latest gallery plugin. The first time I installed it from the wordpress plugin page. I tried uploading an image and creating a gallery and received errors. Something about array not supported. I googled that error and found something about increasing the php upload limit. I tried this and kept getting errors. So I uninstalled, deleted all nextgen tables from the mysql database and reinstalled. I now received “0 images were uploaded”. The images I’m attempting to upload are very small… 300kb jpeg files. I’ve tried 1 or many.

Unable to Add Media

Hello, I am new to WordPress and I have encountered my first major problem. After reading through some of the posts about this theme I just realized that I was supposed to be making new “Posts” instead of “Pages”. So far my site consists of “Pages”. The problem I am having is that I cannot “Add Media”. My site is an online catalog for people to see so I need to be able to add pictures. When I go to edit a page, or even make a new page, and I click on the “Add Media” button, it is as if nothing happened. I am not taken to the window where I can add pictures from the Media Library or from my computer. The one thing I noticed is that at the very end of the url a “#” is added on. I don’t really know what that means, but does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix this problem? I have also tried to add new media by creating a new “Post” and I get the same results.

This is the error message:

Unable to create directory wp-content/uploads/2014/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

Even after changing permission to 775 did not help.
wp-content is owned by “default-user” and “default-group”. Of course it is not ‘apache’ ‘apache’ as message expects?
If request the host to change the ownership and group to apache, will it not create other problems?

The server is apache. Hosted through parallel plesk.

Any suggestion?

Unable to load images http error

I have been able to create a gallery, but I have not been able to add any images to the gallery.

On the add gallery/images, I select the images to upload, then start the upload and a triangle with an exclamation point appears. Upon highlighting the icon it says Http error and then after it clears there is a box that says something like using runtime HTML 5.

Any ideas what is happening?
