I hope this message lands in your inbox like a refreshing breeze in the desert of your busy day.
I come to you with reverence regarding your breath-taking expertise in order to seek your help in debugging my WordPress site which is unaccessible likely due to a DDoS attack since (July 10th 2023).
I tried troubleshooting (Disabling plugin, themes, requesting prior Lightsail snapshot from AWS premium support team etc…) it for weeks in SSH instance without success.
It looks like LightSail snapshots gets deleted after 7 days so I can’t access and reinstate the snapshot before my website was corrupted (which I believe would be an easier fix than debugging)
I stand at the launchpad waiting for your genuine response.
With heartfelt gratitude and eager anticipation,
Majesty
]]>please help !
cheers
Accessing the server shows me that the files are all still present (thank god) but I can’t work out what’s wrong.
Any advice?

]]>Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_multisite() in /homepages/14/d126612468/htdocs/metroexodus/wp-admin/admin.php on line 14.
I’m unfamiliar with this part of the path in this statement:
“/homepages/14/d126612468/htdocs/”
I assume this is my 1and1.com hosts path.
as best I can tell, this is line 14 from admin.php:
if ( ! is_multisite() ) {
wp_redirect( admin_url() );
exit;
I’d appreciate any help or guidance in this matter. I’ve reinstalled the wordpress files twice with the same results.
Thanks in advance
Alfred
When I try to access the following URL https://www.maccabiparis.com/wp-admin/, it asks me to update the data base and after I follow the instructions and do so, it says that the update has been well done and asks me to continue. I click on continue and then it says that before continuing I must update the data base, and then I follow the instructions and it says that the update has been well done, and asks me again to continue and so on, which means that I cannot access any further and so I cannot longer add contents.
How could I be able to access my page?
Thank you for your help.

Also, there’s an article I can’t edit anymore because when I click on the ‘edit’ link, my page stops loading at the editor. Plus, the ‘Visual’ and ‘HTML’ tabs are not clickable.
I’m freaking out. I tried re-installing the wp-includes and wp-admin folders and nothing works.
]]>I’ve recently upgraded to 2.9.2 and after deleting some test posts and adding a new one, I went to edit my theme, and got this message:
Sorry, that file cannot be edited.
I’ve tried changing themes to the standard and deactivating some plugins, but it doesn’t seem to help. I even asked my web host and they say the problem is with wordpress.
Can anyone help?
Thank you!
]]>I have the following problem. I set up a website some months ago, under the adress www.marmott.ch. Everything was working fine, even upgraded without any problem in 2.7.
But now, without having changed anything these past days, when visitors try to access the site, loading it takes hours if they eventually get any answer. More embarassing, I can’t access at all to the wp-admin page, where I could see where the problem comes from. When trying to access this admin console, i get the following message :

Did any of you encounter the same problem and/or if not, does anyone have some clue on how to resolve this matter ?`
Thanks very much for helping on this matter…
