Unbold footer text

I have tried to unbold the footer text and failed miserably. Used
#footer * {
font-weight: normal;
}

everywhere in .css and in footer.php to no avail. Theme is Dynamic News Lite Pro and created a child theme. Website is www.ohcdphila.org

Fonts/text

On the 18th February 2014 all my fonts changed. Did WordPress or Kippis instal anything that might have changed them?

It was as if all the fonts were bold and suddenly they were normalised. Even the fonts that were not bold look thinner.

At the time I was only altering posts and can’t see how I could have done it.

How to unbold the text from my menu dropdown??

To see what I’m referring to, please go to www.bestvacuumcleanershub.com and click on the ‘Types of Vacuums‘ menu header.

The dropdown list displays in a bold font format, even though I have done no css changes to the layout to cause this to happen.

Any idea why this could be occurring?

Minimalist 1 theme bold menuheader s

Hello all,
I’m new to WP, and very impressed so far!
I’m building a small site at www.opeye.com using the Minimalist 1 theme with a few modifications.
I mostly love this thems, it’s so clean and pretty much what I’m after.

I’ve been trying to make the Meenu items all be the same light grey colour. The theme seems to make the Menu items that have sub Menus bold or darker text. I think this doesn’t look so goo, I’d like them to all be the same.
On my website, you can see in the sidebar menu that ‘SEE OUR WORK’ and ‘PICK A COLOUR’ options are showing darker than the other buttons.

I’ve been rootin around the CSS for this theme and found a line for h2.menuheader. I can make changes here like font and size and these do affect the appropriate buttons in the menu. However I’m stuck here. Nothing I try can ‘un bold’ the type.
