How to add thick colored underline to headings

I’m trying to add a thick colored underline to some of the headings on my blog but I can’t seem to get the correct coding.

I’ve tried creating an Additional CSS class: “purple-underlined” within the heading block and then adding this coding under the Additional CSS Customizing:

.purple-underlined {
text-decoration: underline solid purple 10px;
}

Is this not supported by the theme or have I made a mistake in the code? My coding skills are about a 1 so I’ve tried pieces together code from various forums to try to figure this out.

Text on button now has underlying as it’s a hyperlink

I’m using maxbuttons on various websites and have today noticed that on the one linked here the button’s text is underlined as it’s a hyperlink.

Odd, since the other sites don’t show this?!

Perhaps it’s not related to your plugin, but I thought I’d ask first.

Does anyone know a way to ‘switch underlining off’ especially since it’s not normally there?

I’m using the free version of Layers theme and whilst the posts all show up great in the grid, I don’t know how to remove the underlining from the post titles.

I know it’s been a few months since anyone posted here – so not sure if I’ll get a response or not.
So I’ve just started using this theme. Hasn’t been updated in a while but I really like it, nothing else out there quite the same.
What I cannot work out is how to make any links I place in a posting actually stand out. So for example, a post here:

There are three links on this page going to Google, Amazon and Apple. They all work and open in a new tab as I’ve selected. However if you go to the link and look, you’ll see that you don’t know there is a link there until you move your mouse over it. Is there a setting anywhere within the theme that allows my to customise the link – so it could be a different colour or my preferred option, to be able to underline it?

I’m using your template with a header image but the underline of the text is still there. I disabled checkbox “Show Headertext. How can I hide this underlining?

I have read info on this but not achieved the result. I particularly would like to remove the underlining on the main navigation when viewed on small devices – which I recreate by reducing size of pc screen.

I have added this code to child theme and deleted the cache.

SEO Score issues

Hi all – working on getting my SEO score up and confused by some feedback from the tool. Example – it is telling me to underline my keyword and the keyword is underlined – I even did it multiple times. Additionally in another post the SEO score tool indicated that i didn’t have H2 and H3 tags when I actually did. I am using Google chrome and also Safari. Is it a browser issue?

links positioning in safari

When I enter a link in a table I have on a page, positioning is fine and the expected underlining too, except for Safari. In Safari there seems to be an unwanted padding-left and there is no underlining. Can’t find what I do wrong. Must be something silly.
