AWS credentials were created new with correct AWS Cloud Front access policy. No cloud front distribution has been created and it doesn’t even give any error too. Tried reinstalling this plug-in but it still doesn’t do any thing.
The AWS cloudtrail even doesn’t show any event that means – it didn’t even send any API call to create a distribution.
Looks like a total waste of time.
10/2/2024 Update
There is a bug in plugin. But there is way to fix it – check the support forum thread to fix this.
Because plug-in has an unfixed bug, leaving the ratings to still ‘*’ for now.
]]>Breaks many existing sites that are on auto-update, and not easy to disable. It should NOT be the default editor. Did not have enough beta testing as it was released into production without any real world user testing. Classic example where developer hubris can trump common sense.
]]>I really like the new Gutenberg editor. I can really see the immediate benefits in the initial rollout and I can see the potential as well.
As someone who regularly trains “average users” in content management using WordPress, my first impression is excellent. Watching a rookie use the Gutenberg editor on first attempt they seem to get the hang of it so much faster than the old editor. The blocks seem natural to them, drag and drop features are great, being able to re-arrange blocks and add new blocks in between blocks etc. makes the end user feel they are really in control of the layout. The clean and responsive interface is great and it’s very user-friendly and a lot of it is self-explanatory.
New users seem to get the hang of Gutenberg quite quickly just being hovering their cursor around the icons. Watching new users try to get their head around the old editor was at times exhausting! I felt their pain and tried to remind myself that unlike me, they can’t just switch to the HTML tab – it’s a foreign language.
I think too many of the complaints about Gutenberg forget that it’s not a website builder for developers to manage theme styles/design/layouts. It’s a content editor for managing articles and page content.
Combining the new Gutenberg editor with a website builder like Elementor has been very successful. It’s the best of both worlds – initial template (header and footer) and style/design management with Elementor and daily/regular content management and post writing with Gutenberg.
I’m really looking forward to Phase II of Gutenberg with “navigation” blocks and renaming the widget section “Sidebars” as it should have always been. That way we can finally do away with the confusing terms “widget” and “menu”. No more widgets, just different types of flexible blocks!
Well done!
]]>The “own” customizer puts nearly everything in the Inline Script wich is in SEO thougts not that good. They use tons of different fonts in the script. The half of the template is to implement woocommerce functionallaty – tons of overload in the whole code.
So if you have no skills and want easily cool template you will become happy with it. How often they use the Hindi Font Type – i always think that might be indians – but no contact informations on their site….
Have fun – this is only my opinion…
Next, I ran into another issue when I tried to change the name of a slider on my website. I tried contacting the tech support for help, and they proceeded to mess around with my website, making changes that I didn’t ask for, almost as if someone had hacked into my WordPress login. I had to quit the online chat, then go and revert the random changes that they made. I’ve decided to just leave it as is.
I’ve discovered that the highly advertised external link feature doesn’t work at all on mobile devices (in this case, that was an Apple iPhone 7 running Safari). Therefore, it was impossible for people to click onto the next page, where they can pre-order the product I’m selling. Considering half the Internet includes mobile users, I figured that I should get this fixed ASAP. I contacted tech support several times for help. No answer. I tried to figure out the issue myself. I looked at YouTube videos over how to make this thing work on mobile devices. Nothing. So, I went to the tech support again, only for them not to answer at all again.
I’ve requested a refund for this plugin. They won’t respond for a refund request, either. Although I understand that they don’t offer refunds on C or D licenses, their refund policy specifically promises to refund your money if they fail to resolve your issue. They’ve failed to resolve this issue, and yet they seemingly have no interest in refunding my money. I’ve now replaced this plugin with the Master Sliders plugin, which actually works on mobile devices (if you add the right code to the settings; available on their Support forums). They also have a professional version, but I didn’t even have to pay a dime. Works right out of the gate. I’m very dissatisfied with this product and this company as whole. Will NEVER buy from them again. It’s a good thing I only paid them $21 for this instead of $199 for a full package.
tl;dr if you’re looking for a slider plugin that doesn’t cost money for external links and is less likely piss off your mobile users, then try Master Slider. Better plugin IMO. And, you don’t have to deal with useless tech support.
UPDATE: They’ve granted me a refund, so I added an extra star to this review.
