]]>today I realized that the woo-commerce plugin uninstalled itself. I m using GoDaddy manageable WordPress and woo-commerce comes with it already activated. now ? have tried to re-install the woo commerce plugin but I give an error and say something like you already have the files
I have searched for this and found other topics with the same problem on other platforms but there was no solution to it. the only solution seems to be to restore the site from back up.
? did get my last backup yesterday by using updraft and decided to restore the site since I couldn’t install the woo-commerce back. but after I start to restore, at the last stage updraft gives an error as well. it didn’t restore the site.
so now my site didn’t restore properly and I can’t install woo-commerce.
i, once again need the help of the caring community.
My best.
]]>I uninstalled WooCommerce completely (with the entry in wp_config.php) – I simply haven’t been using enough of it. I replaced the few items that I had with Jetpack’s “Simple Payments”, which is good enough for me.
After uninstalling WooCommerce, I seem to be unable to use the /shop URL on my site though. It redirects to my home page. I did not define that redirect myself, nor do I find it anywhere in my .htaccess file or the “Redirect” plugin.
The other WooCommerce specific URLs (/checkout, /cart, /myaccount) all result in 404 errors, as expected. Just not /shop.
I deleted my site’s caches and my browser cache, tried different browsers, the result remains the same. I need help to get that redirect removed because I want to use the /shop URL on my site.
Thanks
]]>I uninstalled Yoast SEO around March 10th to try another SEO plugin (All in One SEO), which I ended up not liking as much as Yoast. So I re-installed Yoast.
Next thing I know, my mobile trafic plummeted. Desktop was not affected and tablet went down just a tiny bit.
I uninstalled Yoast but I kept the settings, so when I reinstalled it the old settings were back.
Any ideas on what problem to look for / something I may have not setup properly in the mobile department? Thanks!
]]>The “upgrade” has destroyed it. Basic features we used to have are now behind a paywall.
But, everything is a choice. I choose to uninstall and replace. So thanks for reminding me there other plugins out there.
