How to remove unwanted text added to blog posts

For some reason or other (a WordPress upgrade maybe) all blog posts on my website now include an unwanted appended block of text, about subscribing to RSS feeds (which I no longer wish to do). The linked-to page provides an example. The text in question is in the box, beginning “If you are new here…”. I can’t locate where this text comes from and how to stop its inclusion. I considered using a string-locator plugin to search my WordPress file system, but backed off when I found warnings that the plugin is unreliable. I am a rank WordPress amateur, but happy to edit source code if I can find the right place. Any help appreciated!

not wanted text at product page

I have this text “De actie is voorbij!” at the products from the category “” anti-klit sprays. But it is added at these products because when you see them for exsample at the category “Probleemvacht” the text shows up also unwanted and specific only at these products.

I can not find to disable this text anywhere. It is not at my products for a sale or anything.
I believe it has been set some where, but for sure not by me, with a hard code but correct me if I am wrong and please help me to get rid of this text.

Who has an answer for me?

Hi,

I updated my auction plugin and wordpress today and I noticed that there is a text with “no” on top of the page on every page of my website. It only goes away when I deactivate this plugin.

Can you fix this?

Can’t edit top-bar for the life of me

I recently configured a fresh install of OceanWP over WordPress.

There’s a text (“This is a test”) located on the top-bar that I am unable to delete or replace with something else (see https://imgur.com/a/PwGd6).

I tried creating a new menu and assigning it to the top bar, as in the linked pic, but the rogue text is ever present, no matter what I do.

Any ideas how I can get rid of “This is a test” from my top-bar?

Malicious piece of code in posts and pages

Hello,

Yesterday I installed several outdated plugins in order to make my buddypress registration page display “the terms and conditions” checkbox and since then I’m getting this message “Want create site? Find Free WordPress Themes and plugins.”

This text only shows up in the social pages and that too in the first line.

I have removed all those plugins but still I’m getting the message. Please tell me how to remove it. Where and how should I search my files to get rid of the this text?

update: I just used inspect element and found that this appears in all the posts and pages of my website:

Unwanted text in header

I have a bunch of unwanted text in my header. An assortment of text starting with F… like F2f4 F4o0. I can’t highlight ad copy, can’t find it in my source, searched in webroot / vapelyst / .htaccess. removed unusual plugins. really don’t know what to do. HELP!

getting rid of things on home page?

I want a basic static home page with links to other static pages. How do I get rid of the stuff below the line, like

I also don’t need or want the search box. I’ve gone through all my options and nothing works.

I also tried adding three menu items to link to other pages, but that’s not working out either. The theme is twenty sixteen, but it’s the same issue no matter the theme. This is probably something so simple I’ll feel like a total idiot for not figuring it out, but I sure can’t.

Removing Category Title in Search

I’ve seen some old posts on the topic, but nothing in them is relevant to my problem.

I’m using a free theme called Tesseract and am creating a web page for my DJ service. The in-progress page is here:

If you click “Past Playlists” you will see blogs with the tag “Playlist” where I share what I’ve played at previous events. I don’t want that giant header saying “Category: Playlist” to be atop the page. I’d like to see only the italicized description of the category.

Any advice for how to make that go away?

"page contents" showing at top of sidebar

Hi forum. Sometime during WordPress version 4.3.1, the words “page contents” appeared at the top of my side bar and I want to remove it. In the Appearance-Customize-Site Identity, I have not entered this into any of the fields as data that I want to be displayed. In the view of my website in Site Identity, my logo is where it should be, but there is a gray bar at the top of the page that says “page contents” and when mouse changes from an arrow to a text cursor when I float over it but it is not editable.

"lightbox" Text in TosRus Galleries

I’m having an issue where I’m seeing the word “lightbox” in the ToRus version of the gallery. This is the only effect that is showing this. I’m using NextGen Gallery with your plugin. Any ideas?
