i’ve spent six hours working with this page today with no progress. during those six hours, i have deleted and reinstalled new versions of the singlepage theme so many times i have lost count. for some reason, no matter what changes i make in featured.php, the results are not updating — not text or images. the only change i have been able to make is to go into the images folder and manually delete images. they no longer show, but the new images i’ve linked to don’t either even though they are in the folder. the changes i’ve made to the names of the sections don’t register. no matter what i type, “section one”… still shows. if i change the view to the static, blog layout page, it changes, but trying to go back to the scrolling setting doesn’t work even after clicking save changes or restore defaults. i had to reinstall the theme to go back to the scrolling page them.
is there a way to reinstall the previous version of this theme?
here’s a link to the site, but it’s back to the default because i’ve just reinstalled it again: https://www.vibeworks.net/
i’d be grateful for some help with this.
thank you.

Thanks.

Someone else created the site, and I am now editing it. I’m not trying to change style (for the most part, although going into the style sheet and making the body text bigger is also not working, for the same reason), just content that someone else originally entered. I’ve checked permissions and my computer is the “owner” and has total permission for everything from what I can tell. There’s also no message that “this would be writable if you had permission to write it” or anything to indicate I’m going about it wrong. It just updates/refreshes the page and my changes have simply reverted back to what they were before.
Clearly this is going to be simple to fix because there’s no way not being able to edit these things is a common problem – that just wouldn’t fly. But I’ve seriously spent a lot of time trying to figure it out by reading past forum pasts and other help documents, and I haven’t found anything that works yet. So help, please.

Any suggestions?

]]>Simple changes, I am trying to change one of the links in my header bar, and also remove an li class from one of the links.
Everytime I click “update file” the page reloads, and none of the changes I made stayed around.
help.
]]>So, whenever i want to edit a theme’s code in wordpress and hit the “update file” button, it tells me that the file was updated successfully, but every change i made to the code is gone. The code simply reverts back to it’s original state.
I tried deleting and reinstalling wordpress. I tried every version from 2.5 up to 2.8. I deleted and opened up a new mySQL account several times. But nothing works. Versions 2.5 to 2.6.1 seem to have a different problem though, there I’m not even able to log into the admin-page.
I have another domain where wordpress is running just fine, where i can edit everything i want and it works.
I’ve been searching the net, different forums, and found posts regarding the same issue, but there is no solution as of yet.
Any help would be greatly appreciated (I am going nuts).
