I created a test page here: https://palprac.org/try/
https://palprac.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/File-A.pdf was the original file.
https://palprac.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/File-B.pdf is the file I used to replace it.
Thanks,
John

The fields are also no longer listed under screen options.
Please help
]]>I’m using Advanced Custom fields to add additional tinymce editors to my pages. The data for those editors is stored in the wp_postmeta table. Links to media items that are placed in those additional editors are not being updated when “replace media, update name, and update all links” radio button is selected upon replacing a media item using the enable media replace plugin. Should this be working, or do you only check the primary content field (or post object itself) for links to update?
Thanks!

]]>I moved my website from WP.com to Bluehost, powered by WP.
I was planning to use Velvet blues to update all the links that take readers from one post to another within my site, because they still point to the old site.
However, I’ve realised that my permalink structure is also different.
My links look like this:
https://textiletrails.wordpress.com/2011/05/09/goenpaka-kushutara/
They need to look like this:
https://textiletrails.com.au/goenpaka-kushutara/
I’m thinking perhaps I need to
1) change the permalink structure of the new site to show the dates (so they match the old site permalinks)
2) use VB to update my links to the new site’s url
3) change my permalinks on my new site back again to the shorter format.
Does this sound like an effective way to proceed?
Or perhaps there is a way to take the dates out of the links at the same time?
I have made a backup of my site, but being a bit green at IT, I’m pretty keen not to do anything that requires me to learn how to use my backup to reinstate my site!
Many thanks for any suggestions
]]>I went live with it and changed the url to the root while still leaving the WP site in the /lemar/ directory according to this procedure https://marktyrrell.com/2012/09/installing-wordpress-in-a-subdirectory-running-it-from-the-root-directory/.
Everything transitioned great except any links that are included in the Black Studio TinyMCE widgets. They did not update with the rest of the links and still refer to the sub directory which results in a 404 page.
Is there a safe way to update the links site wide in this plugin without having to go into each page and do it manually?
Thanks for your help.

]]>I am using Mamp Pro, so I can create different hosts from different sites. At the moment working on a Buddypress powered web site.
I have something I can’t figure out – am working with another developer, he uses ‘localhost’ on his machine as the host, so naturally I have tried doing the same – does not work I get a :
“
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
“
But…if I create a new host naming it something else the site does appear…only obviously with a lot of broken links (for /wp-admin for example) because the DB is full of calls to localhost/…
Any idea ? Please ?
