For some reason the URL links in the post content have not updated and I can not find the text in the database??
The post_content table only shows a description of the post not the actual text in the post?
So I was wondering where I can find the actual text that are in the posts so that I can update it?

]]>Will this plugin has option where when the popup is open, the URL gonna be updated to something else?
Because what Im trying to achieve is where the popup has so called its own URL, and if user directly paste that URL, it will go to the page with the popup straight away auto open.

I don’t want to redirect to a new page since I want to display the [_serial_number] text.

]]>I recently purchased a new domain, which is what my old domain redirects to. It went smoothly, but all the images are showing up as broken links. When you click on them, you get a 404 error. Their URLs are showing up with my old domain suffix, which I’ve been told is the problem.
I’m following this guide to changing the URL in my database, but I have a few concerns.
1. On point four, it says your site should return a 404 error when you complete the step. Mine didn’t.
2. When I look in General Settings or at my Permalinks page, the URLS already look like I want them to, in the new style.
I’m worried that I’ve done something wrong already. Any advice appreciated, thanks!
]]>Each new post displays on the site’s front page, though there seems to be no actual front page (as there would be an index.html page).
I had been going down the wrong design path, trying to implement a static front page. My main navigation menu has a “HOME” link, and that link used to point to the static front page. It worked.
Now I have no static front page. Settings >> Reading states:
Front page displays Your latest posts.
I edited my nav menu so its “HOME” link now points to URL https://localhost/mydomain/ rather than to a page. It works in the localhost environment, BUT…
QUESTION 1
What will happen to this link when I migrate the site to the online hosting environment? Will it auto-update to the new/correct URL?
QUESTION 2
Is there a BETTER WAY to point the nav menu “HOME” link to the front of this WP site?
Thanks
]]>I moved my website from WP.com to Bluehost, powered by WP.
I was planning to use Velvet blues to update all the links that take readers from one post to another within my site, because they still point to the old site.
However, I’ve realised that my permalink structure is also different.
My links look like this:
https://textiletrails.wordpress.com/2011/05/09/goenpaka-kushutara/
They need to look like this:
https://textiletrails.com.au/goenpaka-kushutara/
I’m thinking perhaps I need to
1) change the permalink structure of the new site to show the dates (so they match the old site permalinks)
2) use VB to update my links to the new site’s url
3) change my permalinks on my new site back again to the shorter format.
Does this sound like an effective way to proceed?
Or perhaps there is a way to take the dates out of the links at the same time?
I have made a backup of my site, but being a bit green at IT, I’m pretty keen not to do anything that requires me to learn how to use my backup to reinstate my site!
Many thanks for any suggestions
]]>Is there a way to update the file url of the media library items?
For example I have a video file that has url
Now I decided to move all my video files to
https://media.mysite.com/videos/myvideo.mp4
I tried using velvet blue update URL but it did not find any url to replace. Perhaps because I am using jw player as my video player. I embed videos using this short code
[jwplayer id=”1234″]
Meaning there is no url in the post maybe that is the reason why velvet blue plugin is not geting any urls on my site.
Is there a way I can change all my video file URL to the new URL?
Thanks
]]>I like your plug in. One question though. When I try to update a URL through the BLC tool, when I click the blue Update URL button, it hangs, the loading gif goes round and round and it doesn’t seem to update the link. (I have to log in to the actual page and find the link to change it.) Any ideas what might be causing that?
I’m using the latest version of WP and the plugin.
Thanks,
Kitka
