In the WP dashboard top menu it’s showing 3 new updates but when I navigate to Dashboard > Updates (update-core.php) it shows “Your plugins/themes/translations are all up to date”. I can confirm there are three plugins that indeed require new updates.

When I deactivate the WP Force SSL plugin, the 3 updates appear in Dashboard > Updates. So there may be a conflict.

Some technical details:
– WP is a Network installation
– Latest version of WP is installed
– PHP 8.1
– self-hosted environment

Any ideas how I can further diagnose why this is happening? Thanks.

My organization is considering purchasing a license for GeneratePress, but we want to know if these changes mean that our site will now break if we don’t renew our license key.

AutomateWoo: Send update notification to customers who purchase digital products

I originally posted about this 9 months ago, and purchased AutomateWoo on the advice given. Since then I’ve received inadequate support via email, that’s sent me round in circles and achieved very little but frustration, and still haven’t yet been able to set up a workflow that does what I need it to do.

Example of what I need to do:
e.g. I have a digital product, a technical document, that has been purchased by hundreds of customers. The file needs updating due to an error, or additional information being added.

Once I’ve added the new file to the product, I need to send a notification to all customers at the same time to let them know that their product has been updated and provide a link to the latest file.

I have some 300 digital products available in my store, updating them is one of the biggest automated tasks I’ll ever need to do. I don’t get a lot of errata, but I do have a lot of customers and with as many products as I have, that’s a lot of time spent manually updating orders.

So where do I start?

What trigger do I use to start this workflow? There isn’t one for “digital product updated”, which is pretty strange.

With the support I’ve received so far I feel like I’ve wasted my money on AutomateWoo, yet the other plug-ins I could find are no longer being supported.

I can’t keep manually adding a note to customer on each order, one by one, every time a file gets updated! I am honestly bewildered by the lack of support for digital goods.
