]]>Unfortunately I’m a bigger noob at server hosting than I thought. While using cPanel, I saw that the Softaculous reported multiple updates, one of them being wordpress. I clicked to see the update, but it said it can’t find the wordpress directory because it was looking for /wordpress. I thought that if I placed my wordpress files (wp-content, wp-admin etc.) from the original install location into a new folder called “wordpress” it should find the directory and let me update it. Unfortunately this totally destroyed my website, causing critical errors and internal server errors.
I managed to restore previous backups, but for some reason the only way the 500 error disappeared was to revert the PHP version back to 7.3 (it was 7.4 before). Now however, the frontend works, but elementor has a 400 server error and won’t let me change anything, plugins are not updating because they can’t find folders and I just feel like something is definitely wrong.
I replaced the woocommerce folder in /plugins to a fresh install, and also wordpress /wp-includes and /wp-admin. Deactivating the plugins and theme didn’t help either.
Long story short: I was thinking that by changing the location of the files, maybe some path got corrupted that wasn’t replaced in the restore. I was hoping to find the culprit or at least somehow create a fresh install of wordpress without losing my data (as I have hundreds of products in woocommerce and thousands of images).
I know this is a very specific problem, so any help is appreciated.
]]>I’m having a gallery which is taking additional details from database to shown on the right side of the gallery picture. There came an update some while ago and the new pages done after the update works fine. Pages updated before the WP and/or plugin update, are not finding the details from database. Before the update everything worked fine. Because the problem was found “later on” so I have idea is the problem related to WP update or to plugin updates.
Several plugins are used for the gallery. The problem happens with Advanced Custom Fields plugin. Its taxonomy content is not shown. On admin panel, on gallery pages view, AIOSEO is having headline AIOSEO Details. That one shows gray (not updated) exactly on those posts which are not showing taxonomies. Due this reason, I cannot determine is the problem in a pluging or in WP. No error messages comes.
Because I have 2000-ish gallery pages, a bulk solution would be good to have. I have tried bulk update on page view, but it does not change a thing. Neither if making a quick update. If I just go to the page edit and press update, everything updates fine.
Is there any bulk solution I can use to update all pages?
]]>I tried emptying my browser cache, and the cache on WP Super Cache. I also checked whether the page name online is the same as the page name I am editing, which it is (even though this was unlikely to be the case as the problem occurs in all the 5 pages I edited today).
Hopefully someone has tips on what to try next.
]]>When you go into the edit mode to look at them, the updates are there. However, after clicking on the update button and going to “view page”, the changes do not show up. Please note that the update function seems to complete.
The second page that does not update is /about-the-program/
]]>I have moved a wordpress site to a new domain on the same server. Everything is working on the front end, but when I try to update a page or anything in the settings I get a whole stack of error messages:

The changes actually go through, but the page doesn’t update properly. I can’t put a link to the site, because it has a coming soon page and is not yet live, but could anyone help with ideas about why this might be happening after moving the site to a new url?
Thanks and cheers,
Sarah
I’ve tried:
1. disabling all plugins
2. disabling all plugins and using the Twenty-Eleven theme
3. Removing the following from wp-config.php
/* Define post revision number */
define('WP_POST_REVISIONS', 4);
4. Deleting the page, and then removing from trash, and trying to recreate
5. repairing and optimising the database
6. checking the error logs (nothing there)
Any suggestions??

Do I need to relocate the directory? Is there something else I need to do to fix this? I use MAMP as my localhost.
