upgrade went haywire, how do you delete blog to start over?

Upgrading from 2.5 to 2.9 I apparently screwed something up. Nothing fixes issue. I, at this point, just need the domain name so I can start over. I did not do a back up – my old information was useful but not applicable to new blog. If there is a way to keep the posts/content I would like to, but don’t have to.

I uploaded 2.5 to my root server. When I go to admin
at word press it still says I need to upgrade.

Not to sure what that means?

Did I do soemthing wrong?

403/404 Error on Editing Posts after upgrading to 2.5

I’ve upgraded to 2.5 using the plugin Automatic Upgrade and everything I try to edit a post it gives me

Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access /news/wp-admin/post.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I’ve already re-uploaded all files manually and I’m using the same htacess as the one I used on a site where the upgrade went fine.

I’ve also tried cleaning up the cookies and loging on Internet Explorer (I use FireFox)

Any ideas?

Fatal Error on Upgrade

Upgraded to 2.5, but kept getting this fatal error:

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/usr/www/users/psgworks/10hours/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/upgrade.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /usr/www/users/psgworks/10hours/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php on line 8

I deleted upgrade.php on remote server, re loaded with no luck. Deleted all wp-admin files and uploaded only upgrade ones (bad idea, I think) and now I get abudget login page but still the same fatal error.

Any ideas?

Do I need to revert to my back up?

FWIW, the site shows fine (no categories)…

403 error after upgrading to 2.5

Hi All

Upgraded last night. Seemed to all go fine and the main blog site is still viewable. I tried to follow the 2nd step in the guide

(ie. Step 2: Upgrade your installation
Visit the upgrade page. It will be at a URL like https://example.com/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade.php. This updates your database to be compatible with the latest code, and before you do this your blog might look funny.)

but I get a 403 from that page. If I try to log into admin, I get a 403 there too. Any tips? Seems a few people on here are having similar (but not exactly the same) issues.
