I’m looking for a solution to add comments to the bottom of my wordpress posts. Besides the built-in wordpress comments, I’ve commonly seen this done with third-party services, such as with:
Neither of these allow users to make comments from their fav federated instance using ActivityPub. Lemmy, however, has the best UX I’ve seen for long, nested, threaded comments on the ActivityPub fediverse. Here’s an example:
I’ve seen that this plugin can be used to add federated comments from the fediverse to the comments section of a wordpress post (example), but I haven’t seen reddit-style nested comments with upvotes and downvotes like we have on lemmy.
Is it possible to use this wordpress plugin with lemmy posts, such that:
If it *is* possible to use this plugin to add “nested comments from the fediverse” to the bottom of my blog post, please link me to an example that shows this in-action.

I have not been able to reproduce this problem as of yet. But our site is behind cloudflare.

I am looking for a plugin that will do the following:
-User comes to page where an image is prominently featured
-User can upvote or downvote that image
-Below that image are more images that were previously featured and can still be upvoted or downvoted. These images are ranked based on their upvotes/downvotes
Any ideas?
Thanks
]]>Thanks so much for making a plugin that does what it says it will do! I have implemented it on a side project that collects stories from travellers, and lets readers rate them as “cool”(vote up) or “sad”(vote down).
The issue I am having is that I am unable to get the shortcode to display the negative rankings in order.
The “cool” stories displays fine. You can see it in the side bar widget:
[thumbs_rating_top type:"positive" posts_per_page:"5" order:"DESC"]
However, can’t get the shortcode to show the posts ranked by negative votes.
The shortcode I have used is this:
[thumbs_rating_top type:"negative" posts_per_page:"5" order:"DESC"]
This shortcode delivers the exact same results as the positive votes shortcode – even though the votes are different.
What am I missing?

]]>First and foremost, I’d like to say I love your plugin. I have yet to find another that matches the features yours offer. Thank you for that!
I would however request 4 shortcodes/PHP functions if possible:
– only display the upvote button without the counter
– only display the downvote button without the counter
– only display the upvote count without the button
– only display the downvote count without the button
I need those features to be able to easily implement into future themes (of course with attribution).
Thanks!

]]>I like how when you vote a nested reply for a comment, it goes up in order.
But it doesn’t seem to do the same for the parent comments?
I’m using custom post types if that’s an issue.
Also, what would be cool is if I could set a specific user to always be on top. Any push of doing this with the plugin code using something like :
if (user_can($authorID, ‘isadmin’) == true) {
}
or something?
(admin has isadmin set as ‘1’)
