We are looking for a way to minimise the amount of emails which we send out to dead addresses (often Gmail) via fake bbPress signups to our forum. The first step is user approval.

Konstantin’s plugin is simple and focused, with straightforward settings in a settings panel. There’s no top level left column item (frankly any plugin which wants to put its settings in the main left window should require approval from the plugin moderation team, if in the plugin directory, the left top-level menu is now hopelessly cluttered on most WordPress sites). The main interface are simple text additions to the existing user table Approve | Unapprove.

Frankly user approval should be built into WordPress. But until it is, thank heavens for simple solutions. No adware, no pro version, no bloatware frills, native interface.

I like the idea of a previous reviewer to allow unapproved users to be kept in the database to prevent additional signups with the same address. We’d also like an improved workflow where no email goes out to users until admin approval, at which point the signup email would arrive.

What would happen to a new user is that s/he would be auto-logged in at the time of signup with very limited privileges until approved or unapproved but no email would be sent without approval. This would allow simple comments to be left on a weblog post or bbPress without sending out emails to dead addresses (and damaging sender reputation).

We can add these features fairly easily ourselves, but it would be great to see them in the core functionality of WP Approve User.

Plugin Not Requiring User Approval

Hi, the plugin is not requiring user approval. I can check out without having to click the checkbox. I also tried toggling “Ensure users open the terms’ link before purchase” in the general settings, but that had no effect.

HI,

I just installed the ImbaChat plugin and it’s great!

However I also have the ‘BP Registration’ plugin activated to prevent users from private messaging using Buddypress until they are approved – but I’ve found that they can still message using ImbaChat.

Is there any way in which to add user approval for chat or to align it with the overall approval status for the user?

i see one problem in dokan. I searched a lot but did not find a solution.
The PROBLEM :
when “Enable email verification” checked email send to user and work perfectly. but admin cant manualy approve user email registration. have any one solution for this or can you add this ability to the next version?
i try to activate by add manualy user_activation_key to phpmyadmin and i lose.

Hello,

I need to add some customoisation to the plugin by linking to a CRM.

I have the code I need to link to the CRM, but I need to achieve the follwowing:

On user approval in the wordpress admin I need to send the profile information for that user to the CRM.

I can see
user->is_approved( $user_id ); ?>

but I don’t understand how to hook this in with the master admin approval and where to get the profile details I have added to the user registration form?

Ultimate Member user approval not working

Hi,
For some reason manual approval of users is not working. When I approve membership the users remain in the ‘awaiting approval’ filter and when they try and login in get an error ‘your registration has not been approved yet’.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Different role for user approval?

I am trying to create a new role for the owner of the business. This role needs to have the capabilities to user F-E Users on the dashboard. I am unable to find the capability to select to enable F-E Users for a new role. I have tried duplicating the Administrator role, but when I assign it to the user and they login, F-E Users does not show up on the dashboard.

The Premium options have this option:
“Require users to be approved by an administrator in the WordPress back-end before they can log in.”

Is there a way to have it approved by an different role besides the Administrator?
