i have set user language to english on a site that i am one of the administrators for. the site language is dutch. everything appears as english as it should except when i go to edit a page. then “edit page” “new page” and “hello, username” are still in dutch even though all the other language is english. how can i fix this? originally i was using a plugin to change the language but not after the option became available in wordpress itself per user. see screenshots:

As you can see, a couple of the text entries are not English.
My website uses GTranslate. Now, I know the translations are absolutely rubbish as I can’t afford the premium version. But I was wondering in the future of any way to list the active language of the user when they made the search. Is this possible?
Just curious.
the site has multiple languages.
We experience issues with the backend user language whenever a user works on a Russian page. Even though the user′s profile language is set to English or German, once the user starts working on a Russian page the backend language also changes to Russian.
We were wondering if this could be related to the Polylang plugin that we are using.
If it is not related to the plugin can you advise what else could cause the issue?
Many thanks
Best regards
Michaela
When customer places an order, Invoice sent is completely in Estonian. When I log in to admin area (in English) and send to customer an invoice, then it is partially translated to Estoniain an partially in English.
When I set my admin user profile also to Estonian, then this manually sent invoice is fully in Estonian.
Interesting thing is that when I press PDF Invoice under order details to download that invoice, it is nicely and fully translated to Estoniain even that my user profile was set to English.
I read in this forum that PDF Invoices should be sent according to site language. I would even understand if invoice would be sent from my admin in English fully, but partially translated version is odd.
Do you have any ideas how to keep Site language in Estonian, admin user in English and still send invoices in Estonian?
In a perfect world it would send invoices in initial language user placed an order or in a Site language. Perhaps administrators can choose what option they prefer. And in case customer complains that he/she would like to get an invoice in different language, then admin can choose invoice language at the order details page in Send order email section.

]]>My WP is in spanish. I have “WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips” plugin, BUT in Customs they need all invoices in english. Your plugin create them in spanish, because it take the default WP language. How can I generate invoices in english without changing my default WP language? (So my woocommerce remains in spanish)
Thanks you
]]>My Site Language is Swedish. But my user language when developing is English.
According to the support documentation CF7 should follow the Site language set in general settings.
“You can use Contact Form 7 admin screen in your language. Because it follows WordPress’s language setting, all you need to do is select your preferred language from the Site Language drop-down menu in the admin menu Settings > General.”
Unfortunately it doesn’t. It seems to follow the user language and therefor all validations is in english.
I have a very long form that I preferbly don’t want to build again. Can I somehow set the validations to be in the site language without copy-pasting every validation string?
Thanks.
