The free version of “Slider by 10Web – Responsive Image Slider” is ‘Network Activated’ (i.e. activated on all sites on the Network via the setting for the whole Network).
Some of the admins screen for “Slider by 10Web – Responsive Image Slider” are inaccessible to any level of user except the Network Super Administrator. Other Administrators are not able to access the admin screens.
The screens that can’t be accessed (by Admins who aren’t Network Super Admins) are:
Sliders
Options
Import
The screens that *can* be accessed by non Network Super Administrators is:
Speed & Image Optimization
Plus the ‘Ask a Question’ menu item is visible.
I currently have the plugin setting “Role Options” set to ‘Editor’. It was on ‘Administrator’. Neither setting allows an ‘Administrator’ who is a non-Network Super Admin to have acess to the admin screens. In fact, with ‘Role Options’ set to ‘Editor’ an ‘Editor’ can’t see any admin menu items for the plugin, except the top level one – which redirects him to ‘ask a question’ on this forum.
A month ago the problem did not exist on the site – I know that because I have an Administrator who has been building a site, adding sliders, and now they can’t access the screens. I note that the plugin was updated about a month ago.
Cheers,
Mark
]]>Lets say I have several “Locations” I have setup in my WordPress site. And for each of these “Locations” I need to setup a “Manager” account. This “Manager” account should be able to Add/View/Edit/Delete “Employee” profiles that are associated with their corresponding “Location”.
The only way I imagine to do this right now, is to give the “Manager” account Admin rights, but that wont solve my issue, nor be an option. Even though they would be able to create new users, they would still be able to see and edit other “Employee” accounts that are not associated to their “Location”, which I cant have, along with another endless list of reasons not to give a customer admin rights.
So essentially my question is, would there be a way to achieve this? Either with or without the use of this plugin?
]]>Is it possible for this plugin to recognize each of these, allowing a client to post a service requirement and the Service provider to see and respond to the client’s service request?
This may be the equivalent of the client creating a post, and the service provider responding to the post.
]]>Inside Ultimate Member we can control which user level can see which menu items but is there any way to control which user level can see an entire menu system.
eg. We need entire menus hidden from public view. We can set each link to be hidden from logged out users but the widget title still shows up for logged out users.
The only work around may be a widget logic extension to remove the menu altogether for logged out users but we’re looking at having certain menu systems in teh sidebar show up only for certain user levels.
This would be a good feature idea for future releases but would you know of any other good workaround to get widgets showing for certain user levels?
Thanks
]]>Looking at the site logs I’m getting these errors
[Thu Nov 30 18:28:55 2017] [error] [client 80.xxx] AH01215: PHP Notice: has_cap was called with an argument that is deprecated since version 2.0.0! Usage of user levels is deprecated. Any help would be appreciated and if more information is required jut ask for it
I also note that the php editor loop timeout has not been cured with this update so I cannot edit any of php files with the internal editor.
