I just installed BNFW do I can send a notification when a blogpost is updated. I think I have it configured properly and it appears to be working as intended. Here is my issue.

I use a plugin called Subscribe2 for my registration form and it keeps the User ID/email in a separate table. So, although I have 270 subscribers, The WP Users list only shows the original four people. Subscribe2 does show that of the 270 subscribers, only 4 are “registered”. Those are the same 4 that are in the standard WP Users table. The problem is, BNFW does not appear to be picking up those subscribers in the Subscribe2 list.

Is there a way to correct that?

Staging to Production – Excluding Users

I’ve reviewed half of the migration tools including WP ALL-in-One which I had high hopes on but none of these tools are able to exclude the user table from being copied over. So what about manipulating the password on the migrated data instead?

This question came up here about 8 months ago in this forum about people wanting to not include the user table as part of the migration, likely to tighten security of their website.

But if you give us an option as part of data migration to select which users to generate new passwords for. I don’t like having extra user accounts but at least this way the staging users will not be able to access the website, and this is what a lot of us are trying to achieve… a way to safeguard our site.

Users and posts tables in database are not accurate

Just checked my users table and the posts table in the database recorded in my config file and the amazing thing is that though users can log into the site ok and posts are updated ok in the front end the users are not in the users table and recent posts are not in the posts table. Where else are they saved in case I want to make an accurate backup of my database?

It’s better to add a option wich we can use user_email
And another option is which we can add a specific text or number to a usermeta (for a binary meta for example)

Does this plugin have the option to ONLY migrate the user database from one website to another? I built a new website for a client, and they want to “move” all the users over (password and all) to the new site, but obviously we wouldn’t want to migrate the full database.

But I’m using the Custom Content Shortcode plugin to display the values of the fields in the front end, and it’s working great with other types of fields, but with table field, it’s displaying like this:

“{“p”:{“o”:{“uh”:1}},”c”:[{“p”:””},{“p”:””}],”h”:[{“c”:”Title”},{“c”:”Title”}],”b”:[[{“c”:”Value 1″},{“c”:”Value 1″}]]}”

You have any idea why?

Also it would be great if admins could see and edit the table field of all users, it’s not possible right now, only the own user can do it.

Assistance needed with setting up proper wordpress site

I’m in desperate need of guidance. I have a website that will provide premium content to subscribers. This is the basic diagram of the website. The private access premium content will be on a subdomain.

My questions are:

Can the subdomain and domain share the same user table with usernames and passwords?

Is this the best possible setup for my intention? Is that an alternate setup?

My third-party credit card payment vendor will handle collecting the username and password and return it to the site in the .htaccess file. Given that is it possible for the domain and subdomain to use the same user table?

I want subscribers to click the log-in page, get authenticated and return to the main page of the subdomain. Is that possible? If so, how?
