Hi all,

Got a potential client for whom I want to install a WordPress site if it can accomplish this, so I wanted to ask you:

Is there a way that I can set up a User Group of class of users on my blog I set up with WordPress such that only when someone Registers for a Username as *that* particular class, that they can view “Posts” that I make, where I put up/attach PDF files to the Post, for registered users to download?

The idea is that non-registered uses of the Internet will not be able to access these “Posts” nor download these PDF files, and only when users “Register” and have a username and password at my WordPress site, can they log in and view these “Posts” and download these PDF files.

Is this possible? If so, how do I execute this?

UAM adds group to all users when adding a group

In the case I add a group and assign the subscriber role to it, the group is added to all users which have the subscriber role. That seems to be a bug.

I am assigning the role per user, not per group but it is a pain when someone has accidently assigned a role to the group, I have to delete it all and start over.

I’d like to be able to display a list of contributing writers on my site. Querying users by their WordPress user status won’t work, because some of those users are “contributors” and some are “administrators”. I’d like to be able to do a query based on a user’s Edit-Flow usergroup. Is this possible?

Hi there, im new to wordpress, but got it up and running and it’s a great system!
One thing i’m missing in the system (or I missed it so far…) is the possibily to create usergroups. (apart from the roles)

I would like to make groups of users that can view and post to one or more specific categories. Thus, give a groups of users access to certain categories.

I found a plugin that can do the job for individual users (categorie-access), but that will give a lot of slack and maintenance issues.

Is there an existing way to do this, or are there plans of putting this in a new version?
