type=”silde”
layout=”responsive”
width=”2″
height=”1″
heights=”(min-width: 600px) and (max-width: 899px) and (orientation: landscape) 370px,
(min-width: 600px) and (max-width: 1024px) and (orientation: portrait) 450px,
(min-width: 1025px) 480px, 480px”
And it was working fine, the carousel was 480px height after 1025px, and all other heights media were working as they should work regardless of slide width. It was ignoring width=”2″ and height=”1″, for some reason. But now it’s ignoring heights media setting and getting values from width=”2″ and height=”1″ and becomes responsive (so height decreasing on width change respectively). I’ve tried layout=”fixed” layout=”fixed-height” but carousel just don’t show up. How I can use heights in v2.1?
]]>I’m having some issues running on the lastest Learnpress (addons) version(s):
– Gradebook (v1.0) is not yet compatible with Learnpress v2.1 It is not showing any result of any user, while all the courses have been taken several times.
– Random quiz questions (v1.0) are different than lower versions. I have not found the option to add tags to a quiz instead of questions. I’m missing the function to set a limit in questions a lot.
– After I finished a course, the certificate did not show up on Certificates (v1.3).
– The quiz pages are running slowly. Every time after exactly two questions the quiz is buffering for about 30 seconds.
I’m looking forward to your reply. Thanks in advance.

]]>Deleted the metaslider plugin directory (via FTP) and the site came back.
Using wp-bootstrap template from 320press.com
Tried installing a fresh copy of the plugin on another (different) test site (not an upgrade this time). Install went ok, but when I tried to activate the plugin I got the following error:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home7/tonypuer/public_html/brightideaconsulting/wp-content/plugins/ml-slider/inc/metaslider.widget.class.php on line 112
Tried again using the Twenty Eleven theme and same result.
The only other plugin on that site is Contact Form 7
Looks like V2.1 needs some work!

]]>I’ve been using WP for years, and I only have the greatest praises for it. A few years back I upgraded it from v1.5 (I think!) to v2.1 and everything went smoothly.
Last night I decided it was time to upgrade again and tried to install v2.6.2
I read the instructions carefully. I didn’t first delete the WP files off the website, but overwrote them all with the v2.6.2 ones via FTP.
When done, I launched the blog. It looked fine. I then logged in as admin, and I got a message telling me the database needed upgrading, so I clicked OK.
Within seconds I got the following error messages:
————-
Warning: is_writable() [function.is-writable]: Unable to access /cache/php.err in /mnt/125/sdb/a/2/ppblog/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 500
Warning: is_writable() [function.is-writable]: Unable to access /cache/php.err in /mnt/125/sdb/a/2/ppblog/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 500
Fatal error: mysql_fetch_object(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /mnt/125/sdb/a/2/ppblog/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 635
Fatal error: ob_end_flush() [ref.outcontrol]: failed to delete and flush buffer. No buffer to delete or flush. in /mnt/125/sdb/a/2/ppblog/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1986
————
Now I have tried to “reverse” the upgrade by FTP’ing my previous version of WP (which I saved last night), overwriting the “new” files with the “old” ones. Alas the result is worse than ever:
1. The blog doesn’t show properly. Every blog entry title is followed by the following message:
—-
WordPress database error: [Table ‘ppblog.wp_post2cat’ doesn’t exist]
SELECT post_id, category_id FROM wp_post2cat WHERE post_id IN (798)
—–
Also, at the very top of the page, above the title of the blog itself, this error message:
—-
WordPress database error: [Table ‘ppblog.wp_post2cat’ doesn’t exist]
SELECT post_id, category_id FROM wp_post2cat WHERE post_id IN (798)
@import url( https://ppblog.free.fr/wp-content/themes/fasttrack/style.css );
—–
(does it mean one of my tables has disappeared off the SQL database?)
2. The right-had column has similar messages, but the “Meta” section is visible and therefore the “Login” item too. However, if I click on it and try to log in, it tells me my password is INVALID.
In other words, it seems that v2.6.2 has tried to “upgrade” the database, couldn’t do it, but still managed to tamper with it in such a way that it won’t work with WP v2.1 any longer.
Conclusion: as it is, the blog is completely screwed. Please tell me what to do, this is really depressing.

thinking of migrating to wp (for cool factor).
was reading some wp users feel v2.1 is no good. see here:

what’s the skinny?
should i install an older version, or wait for a subsequent release?
what say ye?

]]>It did this as well with wordpress 2.0 but I was able to comment out the wp_mail line in the install and it completed. I can overwrite my pass manually in the db and I’m able to log in and everything is fine… So I imagine its in the mail function somehow. My Error Log shows nothing.
Thanks.

Line: 173
Char: 290
Error: Access is denied

Everything on the page looks ok, but I can’t click into the body of the posting or enter any text there. (I can type a heading ok, just not the body.)
If I refresh the page I get a different error:
Line: 122
Char: 22
Error: ‘this.contentWindows.document’ is null or not an object

Any thoughts? I’ve deleted the site and re-downloaded WordPress 2.1, re-uploading to the site, but with no avail.
