The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions.: wp-admin/includes/update-core.php
Installation Failed
I only manage the site via the wp_admin panel so I don’t have FTP access to change the permissions.
I wanting to update so that the theme I’m using is supported(Currently using Vantage Premium) but it requires the 4.6 update.
What can I do to update?
Thanks,
Johnathan
]]>I found this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/space-around-logo-header?replies=7
It gives me some custom CSS that did work on the logo – but deactivated the dropdown-function of my menu. What can have happened and what can I do? I hope somebody can help me before I go completely bananas
This is the website in question: https://wiegaardensnaturboernehave.dk/

1. Using a vantage premium theme
2. Being able to move the finished product to another server / domain when complete
3. Editing the header contents, which include a “ShiftNav” navigation, a centered logo and a button and social media links to the right.
4. The above contents in the header needs to be responsive
6. Please see my dev site at https://www.buwalda.ca/wp
7. Trying to make this look more like: https://wildrenfrew.com/
Let me know if you think that you can accomplish these things and what you would charge? Also, maybe also let me know of any places where WordPress freelancers are available, if not on this forum?

]]>I have 4 elements, all which I believe to be inside of the header:
1. The navigation menu (by ShiftNav) – this seems to stretch the full width of the header
2. The “Brannen Lake” logo
3. A reservations button
4. A row of social media buttons (also by vantage)
What I would like is to have the following:
1. The logo to always appear at the middle of the header and as close to the top as possible. When I try to use margins with a negative amount to raise it up, it seems to go under the ShiftNav bar. I’ve tried using z-index, but no luck. SO, the logo needs to be centered and higher up to reduce the white space – the total header white space height should just be a little bit higher than the logo.
2. The reservations button AND the social media buttons should always be to the right side of the header when viewed on desktop.
And of course I need this all to be responsive
When viewed on a smaller device, I was hoping to have these elements begin to stack on top of each other. Currently when viewed on a tablet, the reservations button gets covered partially by the logo and on a smaller device, like my iPhone, the reservation button gets partially covered by the larger main image and the social media buttons disappear altogether.
I’d appreciate any input please
Abe
]]>The row with Back, Forward, Today, Month, Week, Day buttons spans greater than window size, even on a 27″ monitor. The back (previous month) and forward (next month) icons are missing, probably hidden behind the Back button. The month/year text display is hidden behind the forward button.
I think I have narrowed the error down to the Vantage theme and the plugin. If I turn off the Responsive setting in the theme, the row is confined to the table.fc-header area, navigation icons appear, and everything looks great.
I have upgraded theme version and tried an old WP FullCalendar 0.8.4, to no avail.
Settings changes within WP FullCalendar seem to have no effect. If anyone has a suggestion to overcome the problem, please jump in. The calendar may be viewed at:

I think I could really love this plugin after it is working. Thanks in advance for any help.

]]>The problem: Slider doesn’t go responsive in IE9 / Older phones as well as the menu (set in the options of Vantage). This problem doesn’t occur on the original page : www.brune.nu but it does on the redirected page : www.salonboottourist.nl
I’ve been working on this website for quite a time. Before handing it over to the client I tested the website on IE 8 / 9 / 10 – chrome – safari. Only IE 9 gives the problem at the redirected link.
Thanks for sharing and caring!
]]>1. I run vantage premium with page builder and on the ‘default page’ setup i now have a 75px body padding (above my menu) that I cant seem to change. My page builder template pages are not affected. I can locate the css code in Chromes ‘inspect element’ (as below) but cant find the code in any css or php files. Any help appreciated. I have tried a custom css body padding line but i can only make the padding longer not shorter. This is my site page LINK
`body{
font:14px/20px ‘Helvetica’, Arial, sans-serif;
margin:0;
padding:75px 0 0 0;
text-align:center;
-webkit-text-size-adjust:none;
}`
2. My footer height is varying greatly depending on the length of my page content ie: if i have no content on my page then the footer runs the whole height of the browser…??? an example of this can be seen at this link
what I would like is the footer to vary to be just enough height to contain the elements within.
Thanks
