Hi, I’ve been hosting my own videos, but need to switch over to using video hosting service. Many videos need to remain private on our website, for our membership site. We have 20+ videos and growing.

The number of video hosting services is intense. Anyone here have suggestions on a service that includes player I can imbed in my WordPress site?

I’m decent at tech stuff, although to host on Amazon S3 looks like overkill to setup/use. Of course, I’m willing to dive in deep on a service if it will save me big on monthy exenses. Of course, a service that optimizes the video per device is a must.

Some of the various services I’ve seen are Bunny, Vidyard, Wistia, Vimeo, Pandavideo, Foliovision, Spotlightr, and Sproutvideo

Bunny and Wistia have caught my attention for now.

I’m walking into this green and I’m trying to be cafeful about overpaying, poor service, etc.

Just like with email services, I went through a bunch of bloated, overpriced services until I found sendgrid.

Thanks for any suggestions for choosing a video hosting service.

Which hosting for Portfolio2 without YouTube clutter?

I want to offer my website visitors to watch short videos from within posts without the destructive clutter that for example youtube adds. Can I use Portfolio2 for that and how? I don’t mind using premium. But can I achieve that with youtube or vimeo? From the samples it looks like vimeo work better for that. Is it possible to achieve what I am looking for? I want my user to close my youtube video and end up back on my site without confronting the visitor with 17 other videos from Youtube.
I heard that a gallery with just one image could work. What about that? Is that possible with SIMPLY? And is it true that Vimeo works better towards that goal and Youtube is just too aggressive?

Paid Sub is a mess

I paid for the annual fee for one site and now every time I go to the jetpack website I am confront with an “upgrade” button that goes straight to preformatted version of the bill I already paid for the service, and wants me to pay again. The cc information is already filled in, and they are ready to double bill you if you make one mistake on the UI.

Also, there does not seem to be any way to tag and organize the videos, at least given that I can barely get beyond being double billed if I try to login to their site, I could not find any way to manage my videos. The plugin does not allow any sorting or tagging. Also, does not support webm format.

Given that there are many video hosting services out there, this is a complete waste of time and money.

This is a very solid service for not only hosting assets, but having them dynamically sized what you need.

Video is getting much more important in inbound, so this is definitely a must — a way better to deal with than vimeo.

Checking what it would cost to get video hosting and backups for two wordpress sites (English and Italian of the same project) I am surprised to see that the regular price is now 21 Euro monthly per site, that makes 42 Euro monthly (!) for my project.

Do you offer discounts for non-profits?

I am wondering about video hosting and quic.cloud.

What if I am on a LiteSpeed-powered shared web hosting, and I upload videos directly to my web hosting storage. And then I turn on the LiteSpeed Cache plugin with the Quic.cloud CDN enabled for my WordPress website which has videos.

In this case will you serve even the video content from your global CDN network to my visitors? Or do you only serve the images, javascript and CSS from the global CDN network?

If you don’t support videos yet, then don’t you plan to add an option to quic.cloud where I could host videos and serve those videos using the global CDN network?

I run an E-learning platform that offers paid online courses.
If anyone right-clicked on the video hosted on Jetpack can download it smoothly.
I know that jetpack doesn’t offer that directly.
but I am asking for tricks, tips to prevent any customer from downloading the content.
