Curious why not all company details show in preview or when published. For example, the website url shows, and the logo shows but the video url doesn’t show. It also doesn’t show in your demo. What’s the point of having the field, if the information is not going to show up?

Hi,

I’m trying to work out how and where to modify the Jetpack Related Posts module so that it will show Youtube thumbnails from a standard URL.

On the linked page of my site, you can see that I have installed a ‘featured video’ feature at the top of the post. This is generated by inputting the URL in a custom field ‘video_url’ on the post editor. (I used this method)

I understand that I need to extract the YT video ID to get a thumbnail via their api as well. But I am a novice with PHP and am struggling to fit all the pieces together. I notice that JP Related Posts will already pickup a YT thumbnail from an embedded video within the post – I am assuming it does this when looking through the Gutenberg blocks?

How would I modify the Jetpack module so that it would also look for the URL of this custom field, then feed it back to get a thumbnail?

Whilst I have an understanding, I am still a novice, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Note: The example link shows 3 related posts, 2 have ‘featured videos’: I want the left-most one to grab a thumbnail from the youtube ‘featured video’ on that post, the middle one has a thumbnail from an embedded video – but again I want to take it from the featured video, the third is a standard image which works great!

Adding video links as products in Woocommerce

I am trying to add a video as a product on my site using woocommerce, so when someone makes a purchase they will get access to view the video.
When you select a simple and then downloadable product, there is an option of entering a url of your video. But when the purchase is made it gives the customer only an option to download a file rather than displaying a video. I also tried the “embed” code but it did not even save it when I published the product.

Basically I want to sell an access to a video lesson, is there a way to accomplish this with woocommerce?

Lightbox video gallery issue

I’m using your plugin for quite some time now. Everything was working fine until suddenly , since last week, the “Lightbox- Video Gallery” view option is not working properly.
There is no image created in the thumbnail, and also, if I click on the thumbnail, it generates a wrong url. Below is the wrong url that is generated

The correct url is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pPjO1C7Ebk4

Currently, I am using the Thumbnail view option as a stop gap. Can you help me solve this issue please?

Hi – I finally found a plugin that shows my videos the way I like but if you look at my homepage under the video posts the embedded video url is showing. I’d like that to NOT show.
