]]>1. I see something I want to change in an existing post so I select Edit.
2. I make the changes and click on UPDATE.
3. At the top, WP says “Post updated. View Post” so I click on View Post and instead of opening a new window or tab, the post gets displayed in the SAME WINDOW, replacing the edit mode. This is wrong!
4. Now I hit “Back” to return from this window back to the edit page but ALL EDITS ARE LOST and there is no revision to go back to. All my work has been lost from the editor.
BUT, if I go back and list All Posts and find my post and then Edit it again I find that my changes have been saved.

I have replicated the settings from a single master installation to several sites, so I would prefer NOT having to reset everything Can you give me a hint?
Best regards

]]>I wanted to use the Posts option for periodic posting of the company news. I can create a post but when I go to view it, it all ends up on contact us page and no post can be seen. I searched for the post and I see them searched but when I click on them, it takes me to contact us page.
]]>I’m using Jetpack Publicize to share my blog https://markblower.com/blog with my tumblr. It works well but adds a “View Post” link and gives the image I’m sharing a click-through link as well. I’d like to be able to stop Publicize from creating these links rather having to go into tumblr and delete them each time.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I can simply not click on it, but I’m curious — have I configured something wrong?

]]>In the last week, my admin functions and panel have not been working properly. For example, spell check works only sporadically. If I enter a post and click publish, sometimes it just spins and spins and times out. Same if I edit a post and click update — it will often spin and sometimes the entire center of my screen goes blank and all I can see is the admin navigation panel on the left. Other times, it freezes up and I have to navigate away. Adding a picture is the same problem… I click “upload” and it could take 45 seconds or a minute to add the picture. All of this is just within the last week and happens on Chrome and IE9.
My host provider did some technical trouble shooting and had me remove plug-ins. That did not work. I deleted posts, images, etc. That did not work. It is not my internet connection and visitors to the site are not affected…they see it fine and navigate it fine, so it seems to only be affecting the dashboard and admin/edit functions.
The host company tech support now says it is because I need to upgrade to the latest version of Genisis and WordPress…but there are risks that my site might be harmed according to them, so I am hesitant. Besides, I’ve been told that upgrading WP or my theme will not fix these issues.
I would be so grateful if anyone had ideas or if they’ve experienced this before, to let me know what they found. Thanks!
