Do embedded YouTube video views count (am using YouTube Lyte without API)?

I have been using your plugin without adding any API info, and it seems to work fine in reducing load times.

However, I am curious if visitors to my blog who click on embedded YouTube videos count as actual views on YouTube? The embedded videos are smaller in size per my preference selection on the plugin.

Per YouTube/Google, views on embedded external videos count as actual views on YouTube. However, I am not sure if the same is true after you optimize the embedded videos using YouTube Lyte (without using the API).

Does the crosstalk between platforms still happen in order to update the YouTube stats?

I have my channel embedded into my website. I have the autoplay turned off, so viewers who want to watch a video must click to watch. Do these views, through the YoTuWP plugin, count towards real YouTube views?

This is important as I am currently trying to grow my YouTube channel. Thanks for the help!

Reset View-Count of single Page?

Hey,

I am using the plugin on some pages. unfortunately the view counter of each post / page is counting when i am viewing them in the preview-mode while i am creating my posts. i checked all settings but i am not able to change this behaviour

is it possible to reset the view count of a single post / page?
I want to reset them when i publish the posts

Hi Hector,

This plugin is fantastic. It works exactly as intended and I’ve been using it with my posts and it works just fine.

I have a question though. I’m planning to change how my posts are viewed, where instead of loading a new page, the post is loaded in a modal box popup where the content of the post is displayed within that popup. I foresee that this will not count towards the viewcount in the plugin system as the post is not loaded in a new page.

Is there any workaround that would allow me to count a view when the article is viewed within the popup? I know it’s beyond what is asked in your plugin, but I’m just wondering if that would be possible.
