iFrame Accessible Name

We are encountering a missing accessible name for the Vimeo iFrame. Upon searching the site support results, several reports have been closed as just needing to add HTML. One item pointed out this should come standard, and we agree. WP is aware the Vimeo plugin does not include an accessible name, and this should be corrected on the WP side, not individually each time this plugin is used.

One item states the development team is working on correcting, but there is no update this has been resolved even though the issue was closed.

Is there a timeline on when iFrames will have accessible names in WP plugins?

Can’t center Vimeo embeds

Hi friends. I’m trying to center two Vimeo embeds in a page. However, the block settings’ Align tool does not seem to have any effect. I tried googling and found some code-based suggestions, but I’m not an expert coder and haven’t had any luck yet. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Video embeds (Vimeo or YouTube) do not appear on Safari

This page has a series of 12 video embeds that should appear after the heading “Videos on Fonts and Typefaces” near the bottom of the page. Every browser displays the videos fine except Safari which only shows the first video (iOS) or first two videos (macOS) followed by blank space where the other videos should appear. On first load the videos flash on the screen for a moment before disappearing.

I’m using WordPress 6.6.1, iOS 17.6.1, macOS Safari 17.6.

Using MasterSlider for our full width banner video. I have a slide with a Vimeo embed link:

I added the loop function, and tried to add the autoplay function this way too, but it isnt working. The autoplay switch in the Master Slider interface is not working either.

Hi, I’m using the plugin Vimeography to display and play a gallery of Vimeo videos on my site.

When you select a video from the gallery, it autoplays. The plugin developer says it’s not a function of the plugin. And the theme developer says it’s not the theme’s fault.

Is there any custom CSS or other fix to this? I’d like to avoid auto starting on the videos.

Vimeo videos no longer correctly formatted on mobile

Vimeo videos are no longer correctly formatted on mobile. In portrait mode there’s extraneous whitespace above and below the video thumbnail caused by the plugin’s flexbox code.

Tested on fresh WP install and replicated.

Likely a result of changes to Vimeo’s embedding behavior?

Suspect it could cause SEO issues.

On our site we are having issues displaying public vimeo links, they are visible fine on our site through chrome we have found but when we access the site on our phones the videos do not show up as active and are displayed as black squares.

Vimeo Autodetect Broken with FancyBox V2

Hi There, I am trying to embed a Vimeo link on a website, but when FancyBox V2 is selected in the settings, the video just opens with a message saying “sorry we’re having a little trouble”.

When I change back to FancyBox Classic Reloaded, the video pops up and plays just fine.

Vimeo background video is showing “More Video”

So basically I added a video that I hosted on vimeo on my website as a background video but after it loops 2 or 3 times or if I leave the page (tab) and come back to it, this image appears. Is it possible to fix this?

Smartphone screen turns off when no sound on the video

Hi,

I have some long videos with no sound (workouts). When the videos are played from a smartphone, the screen goes off after a couple of seconds (it doesn’t on YouTube for example). When videos have sound, the screen stays on until it finishes.

Is this a bug or I am missing something?
