If you are signed in with an address connected to the account taxes will be applied. If you put a normal product in your cart and check out it still offers taxes. My product works with taxes if it is a downloadable product only and not a virtual product, but I cannot seem to go more than a few minutes before the system automatically adds virtual product to the product details and taxes then no longer show up again. Unless you have an account and a shipping address set up taxes do not show up for our pants show ticket products. I know I could just require people to register and set up a shipping address but I don’t want to do that. I want to have taxes to applied to my downloadable product and for it to stop thinking its a virtual product. I just want to be able to sell tickets from our products section and have taxes be applied at check out as they normally are. Our tax settings are automated with the woocommerce shipping and tax plugin. How can I resolve this? Thank you!
]]>I have a product in my store that contains both virtual & physical products. I would like WC to send virtual files only when I complete the order (i.e., the order is received by the customer).
Right now when the user pays for the products – they immediately receive virtual products on their email.
How can I change that?
]]>When choosing what type of product to create for this, if I select Variable, there doesn’t seem anywhere to also set product type to Virtual. Anyone know how to set this up? Update: I found this setting under the individual variations, so that’s fixed. Client has been seeing problems due to presence of physical goods (books) sold on site. They all have shipping classes, so that should not interfere with anything set to “virtual,” as Virtual status should automatically not trigger any shipping charges.

When a user pays through Paypal in Paypal’s transaction details I see “We have no postal address on file”. This is a problem for me, because I use a system that creates invoices based on Paypal and I need the billing address of the user. Is there an option to get the user’s billing address so the invoicing system could work?

]]>I understand there is a “downloads” section on the account page, but the products are not downloadable – they involve access to certain pages. I also understand that user roles can be set to give certain types of users access to certain pages. But I am obviously not going to manually change user roles every time someone buys a product.
So I want users who register at checkout to be automatically assigned roles based on the product(s) they bought. Inexplicably, I have found about 1,000 articles explaining how to make it so only certain users can even see and buy products. But I can find virtually nothing on this very common feature that I know must have a simple solution.

]]>When I have the plugin active, I cannot mark products as virtual or enable sold individually option. I have to disable the plugin, update products and enable the plagin back again.
Also whn I added to have these fields enabled in the form, they are not enabled after the products are added from the form.

]]>I am building a site where people will be able order books to be printed, but they will have the option to have their own name and avatar in the story. At the point of purchase, I need the site to output a customised print ready pdf, print instructions and delivery instructions. That pdf can either go to me directly or a chosen printer, but not the customer. The printer then prints and posts the final product to the customer. Happy days.
Is there a plug-in that will allow for this kind of thing, or am I looking at custom code?
