The buggiest, slowest and most incompatible plugin I have ever used. Seems every other plugin breaks VC.

I cannot tell what happened, must have been in the course of November when I received a notice that our site didn’t look right. Maybe it was compromised, but at least I could restore the site structure. I have tried to mend the remaining problem of the display of Visual Composer sourcecode with an 4-week-old back-up of the entire site (the oldest I could track down). Plug-ins were updated and the latest WordPress 6.7.1 is running. Some elements are shown properly, yet surrounded by source code beginning with [vc.

I have deactivated the Elementor and the VC plug-ins with no effect.

I am not a WP pro, just trying to maintain the site which was built a few years past and the developer is out of reach.

The second one is the button
Both were created with WPBakery

Does anyone know if WP Bakery has the ability to add dynamic content? It appears Visual Composer now has this ability, but I do not see it in the version of WordPress Bakery I am working with.

I have a client with a very old website. It was built by someone in WP Bakery and I need to make significant updates to the site. It would be great if I could add the ability to add dynamic content, but switching themes right now is not really an option.

Thoughts?

VC Mega Footer Disappears after version 6.9.0

I have noticed that any updates after Visual Composer 6.9.0 causes the VC Mega Footer block to disappear.

You can see this in the link provided (from the prompt), which is using Visual Composer 6.10.0 just to prove this. Any subsequent updates including the latest at 7.1.0 causes the VC Mega Footer block to disappear.

So my live site is still using Visual Composer 6.9.0, but there have been security fixes that have been made since. Therefore, I’m stuck with either not having a footer or risk security vulnerabilities for not upgrading.

Can you address what code changes have occurred between 6.9.0 and 6.10.0 that would have caused this behavior? And more importantly, suggest a workaround or address the issue?

Visual Composer Plugin file does not exist but also can’t re-install

Hello,

I made my website using Visual Composer Website Builder for all my pages. I looked at my website today and found out it was all formatted wrong. I looked into my wordpress and under Pages, it said that Visual Composer file does not exist, and therefore was deactivated.

I looked into it and it seems Visual Composer is still running and no one else is having this issue right now. I tried re-installing the plugin and it said it failed due to the file already existing.

I have no idea where to locate the file as it’s not showing up anywhere on my wordpress admin page and I also really liked using this plugin.

I really just want my website back and working as normal. Please help if you can.

add new with visual composer not displayed

Hi, i just installed a premium version of this plugin in a godaddy managed wordpress hosting, the plugin installed without error, the configuration section it displayed normal with all the options, but i can’t add new pages or edit pages/posts with visual composer, i don’t have the options.

Any suggestion to what to check?
i already tried different versions of php and no luck

Visual Composer Doesn’t Fully Load on Homepage

Visual Composer refuses to fully load when I attempt to make edits to my homepage. It loads enough to allow me to edit the text at the top of the page but not enough to let me save it or click any of the icons on the side toolbar. It doesn’t do this for any other page of my site. Also, in the system settings, it said that the memory limit was 128M which is inaccurate. I checked my wpconfig.php file and it showed that my memory limit was 256M, the required limit for Visual Composer to work. No matter how many times I refreshed the system settings, it would not update the memory limit to show the accurate number.
